From "Kaohe" to "Stave Zero"! Report on "Science Adventure Live 2018 -SINGULARITY-", a showcase of popular songs from the works!

On April 30, 2018, "Science Adventure Live 2018 -SINGULARITY-" was held at Nakano Sunplaza. This popular live event features songs from 5pb. brand's "Science Adventure" series such as "STEINS;GATE", "CHAOS;HEAD", and "ROBOTICS;NOTES". The first "Science Adventure Live 2012 Drama Stage: Spacetime Crossing Triplet" was held in 2012, and has been held intermittently since 2015. With the TV anime "Steins;Gate Zero" currently airing, this year's event was even more exciting.

The live performance of popular songs & collaboration of artists is a must-see!

Before the show began, popular cosplayer Enako, who became an official cosplayer of the series, held a photo session dressed as Kurisu Makise (CV: Mami Imai) and Suzuha Amane (CV: Yukari Tamura) from "STEINS;GATE" and Momo Aisaki (CV: Shiina Natsukawa) from the latest work "ANONYMOUS;CODE" yet to be seen. A photo session was held with the audience dressed in costumes. Many fans packed the venue, building up the voltage before the live performance.

Then came the long-awaited start of the show. The announcement by Kurisu Makise (or more precisely, Kurisu Amadeus) echoed through the Nakano Sunplaza Hall. As a voice practice, the entire audience chanted "Chiyomaru nyan nyan," as Kurisu urged them to do so. As soon as the event started, a chaotic scene spread as everyone shouted out the name of Mr. Chiyomaru Shikura, the creator of the Science Adventure series and chairman of MAGES. Then, just as the applause seemed to roll in, the live performance started right away. Nakano Sunplaza was filled with cheers.

As the venue was enveloped in red psyllium lights, the screen on the stage showed an original movie, "A satellite is approaching Nakano Sunplaza. As the anticipation was building, Kanako Ito appeared on stage. She opened the live performance with "Singularity," the OP theme song from the game "CHAOS;CHILD," the fourth in the series. The audience welcomed Ms. Ito with a standing ovation, to which she responded with a powerful song, "Welcome to Science Adventure Live! and he responded with a powerful song. She then sang "F.D.D.", the OP theme of the TV anime "Chaos Head", in high spirits.

After Ito-san left the stage, a woman with a guitar appeared in the center of the stage and sang the riff of "Junjo Spectra," the OP theme of the TV anime "Robotics Notes," which was met with loud cheers from the audience. Moreover, if you look closely, you will see that this woman is not singer Konomi Suzuki! When Ms. Suzuki pointed to the side of the stage, Megu, the bass player of Zwei, appeared and they had a session together!　Vocalist Ayumu also appeared from the stairs on the stage and performed "Junjo Spectra" with Zwei and Konomi Suzuki as a special unit. This kind of special collaboration is one of the best parts of live events.

After Zwei's act, Itaru Hashida (CV: Tomokazu Seki), aka "Dar" from "STEINS;GATE," began his MC. Following the line, "For all of you Science Adventure kids, I present a song that is being released for the first time in Japan," he encouraged the audience to "get more passionate! and stirred up the audience. The song "Tu Ru Tu Ru Dance" began in this way. On stage, Enako-san, dressed as Akiho Senomiya from "ROBOTICS;NOTES," danced lively, and the hard tone of the song was replaced by Dal's chorus and a dance movie of Akiho, Junwa, Dal, and Frau, creating a fun atmosphere in the venue.

Then, keeping with the flow of "ROBOTICS;NOTES," Konomi Suzuki performed "aNubis," the "ROBOTICS;NOTES DaSH" insert song, and Kanako Ito performed the anime ED theme "Topology," much to the delight of Robono fans.

Once again, the original movie from the beginning of the show seemed to play, and Amadeus Kurisu, who did not appear in the first video, was seen at ....... The video diverged and the world line changed, and what continued to appear was the idol group "Junjo no Afilia," which changed its name from "Afilia Saga" in 2017. In formation, they charmed the audience with "Forbidden Invincible Darling (long ver.)" and "La*La*La*Labolution". During the performance, they threw autograph balls into the audience, transforming the venue into a live idol concert site.

Next up was Ayane. After singing "KAIKOU NO FETARITATE," Ayane asked the audience, "May I deliver a song from Memo Off that will raise Chiyomaru's spirits? he asked the audience. Fans (especially those from the past) cheered loudly to the fact that a song from the "Memories Off" series by 5pb. was to be sung, even though it was not from the Science Adventure series. The audience nearly screamed out in joy at the performance of the "Memories Off" medley, which included "Resilience," the OP theme of "Memories Off -Innocent Fille-," "ORANGE," and "After Rain.

Artists expressing the world of their works with their whole body

Science Adventure Live is still going strong. From "OCCULTIC;NINE," Ms. Asaka made her debut with "Open your eyes," the ED theme of the anime. Wearing a black and silver dress, she excited the audience with her mature singing voice that made it hard to believe that she had just graduated from high school. She also performed "Sukinaru Factor" with Zwei, whom she had said she wanted to collaborate with someday, and left the stage to cheers.

The stage went dark, and the audience seemed to have lost their enthusiasm for the show. Waiting for that moment, Zwei murmured "LAST GAME" and Ayumu's voice seeped into the venue. Ayumu sang "LAST GAME" in her raw voice, sometimes pulling the microphone away from the audience as if she was putting her whole heart and soul into the song. It was impressive to see Ayumu fall down at the end of the song as if she had run out of energy. Kanako Ito sang "Fatima" in the vein of the anime "Steins;Gate Zero. The audience cheered loudly in defeat.

Asami Imai, wearing a black dress, was called to the stage by Ito-san. During the MC, she spit a bit of venom at the beginning of the song "Chiyomaru Nyan Nyan Nyan" and asked why it was "Chiyomaru," to which the audience laughed uncontrollably. He also talked about the secret story of the recording of the anime "Steins;Gate Zero" to the delight of the fans. When she and Ito started singing "Amadeus," the OP theme of the game "STEINS;GATE 0," the audience shook the Nakano Sunplaza Hall waving red psylliums.

Following the "Kurisu in the first season, an unofficial song about her final feelings" performed at last year's live, "Words of GRACE - Dahlia in Winter" by Ms. Imai was performed this time as an unofficial song about Okabe's feelings toward the world of "STEINS;GATE 0". As a famous scene from the TV anime version of Kurisu played on the screen, Ms. Imai's beautiful singing voice echoed her shouts. Imai-san looked just like Kurisu herself as she left the stage, saying, "Take care of everyone.

The "Steins;Gate" flow continued with "GATE OF STEINER" by Eri Sasaki and "Hacking to the Gate" and "Another Heaven" by Kanako Ito. Kanako Ito sang "Another Heaven" softly amidst the colorful psyllium lights.

The popular TV anime "Yuru Can △" also made a guest appearance! The climax of the show was a great success.

While the audience was still lingering in the afterglow, a live-action camping-style video suddenly appeared on the screen. The members of Pure-hearted Afilia were performing a comedic skit, "We're going to a live concert at Nakano Sun-plaza! and then a comedic skit was shown, followed by the guest work, the TV anime "Yuru Can△" part. Asakika feat. Junjo no Afilia sang "SHINY DAYS" with everyone singing along. Asakika and the members of Afilia created a euphoric space on stage, doing BBQ and fishing (pretending to be in the wind) and standing among the audience to clap their hands. At the end, everyone jumped together!　The song was connected to "Fuyubiyori" by Eri Sasaki, the ED theme of the TV anime "Yuru Can△.

FES (CV: Yui Sakakibara) of the rock band Phantasm, who appeared on stage from the "CHAOS;HEAD" movie, performed "Esoteric Necklace," "Kokujiru Juni-no-Kengyou" and "Fate no Farfalla. She fully immersed the audience in her worldview, saying, "Let's raise your soul level in this space. The mirror ball lights looked like countless galaxies, and the production was brilliant, reminding the audience of the many world lines.

The fun time was coming to an end. When Konomi Suzuki sang "Chaos Syndrome" and said, "This is the last song," a disappointed scream could be heard from the audience. Just as a noisy screen appeared on the screen, Ms. Ito appeared from between the audience seats, singing "Find the blue". The fans waved their psylliums strongly toward Mr. Ito to climax the event. Then, Mr. Ito returned to the stage and ended the show.

The audience, however, was not ready for the show to end. There was a song that had yet to be performed. As the audience called out, "Those eyes, who's eyes?" Phantasm (FES cv. Yui Sakakibara) returned to the stage. Without exchanging unnecessary words, she sang "Crucifixion Mass" exactly as she had sung it.

All the artists then took the stage and each gave a brief greeting. With introductions of the band members, they each expressed their joy of the day with a look of accomplishment on their faces. They also stirred up anticipation for the next Science Adventure Live and the next event, and the audience cheered even louder.

Finally, "Science Adventure Live 2018 -SINGULARITY-" came to a grand conclusion. The last song "Skyclad Observer" was sung by all the artists. As the OP theme song for the game "STEINS;GATE," which made the Science Adventure series known to the world, it was a deeply moving song for both the artists and the fans. The audience united as one and ran through this representative song with all their remaining strength.

Thus, "Science Adventure Live 2018 -SINGULARITY-" came to a close. The Science Adventure series is expected to continue with "STEINS;GATE ELITE," "ROBOTICS;NOTES DaSH," "ANONYMOUS;CODE" (set in Nakano!), and "SINGULARITY" in the future. (set in Nakano!), and many other promising works are in the pipeline. It has been 10 years since the release of "CHAOS;HEAD," and the series continues to gain momentum.
