TV anime "Basilisk: Sakurabana Ninpocho" reveals the BD BOX jacket for the first volume to be released on June 27!

The jacket photo of the Blu-ray BOX first volume to be released on June 27 from the TV anime "Basilisk: Sakurabana Ninpocho" currently airing on TOKYO MX and other stations has been revealed.

Basilisk" was adapted from Futaro Yamada's novel "Koga Ninpocho" into a TV anime in 2005. The shocking plot of the story, in which Koga Gennosuke of the Koga Manjidani-shu and Iga Oboro of the Iga Tsubagakure-shu, who are enemies but in love with each other, fall in love with each other and commit suicide in the end, became the talk of the town.

In January 2018, after a 13-year absence, the TV anime "Basilisk: Sakurabana Ninpocho" based on Masaki Yamada's "Sakurabana Ninpocho: Basilisk New Chapter" began airing. The story centers on two siblings, Koga Hachiro and Iga Hibiki, children of Koga Gennosuke and Iga Oboro, and will be adapted into a new TV anime chapter in July 2017 , starring Yu Hatanaka as Koga Hachiro and Inori Minase as Iga Hibiki. In addition, following the previous work "Kouga Ninpocho", the OP theme is by Yin-Yang-Za and the ED theme is by Nana Mizuki.

The jacket depicts the main heroine, Hibiki Iga, played by Inori Minase, with a melancholy expression on her face.
The jacket also features a pinup illustration by Tatsuya Shihira, who is in charge of the manga series, and Masaki Segawa, who is the original character designer.

In addition to all 12 episodes, the first volume includes a digest of the preliminary screening event featuring voice actors Yu Hatanaka (Hachiro Kouga) and Inori Minase (Hibiki Iga) in hakama, non-credit opening and closing scenes as video extras, and audio commentary as audio extras.
