Spike Chunsoft's "Fire Pro Wrestling World" action for PS4, which will be released on Thursday, August 9, 2018, has revealed the contents of its collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling Ring.
Fire Pro Wrestling World" is the latest title in the popular "Fire Pro Wrestling" series, nicknamed "Phi Pro," and retains the 2D graphics and diamond-shaped ring that characterize the "Phi Pro" series. The newest title in the popular "Fire Pro Wrestling" series, nicknamed "FIRE PRO WRESTLING," retains the 2D graphics and the rings of the "FIRE PRO" series, but adds a variety of special rules, including battle royal, cage match, and death matches using barbed wire and fluorescent lights.
The "Edit Mode," one of the most exciting features of the series, allows users to edit not only the appearance, techniques, and CPU logic of wrestlers, but also the referee, ring, championship belt, and many other elements in the game.
In addition, a variety of new moves have been added, including "exchange of blows," which allows players to engage in chop and elbow fights, the short-range lariat, and the twisted pull-down facebuster. The game also features the first "Online Mode" in the series, allowing players to enjoy heated matches with players from all over the world.
The content of the collaboration with New Japan Pro-Wrestling Ring that will be included in "Fire Pro-Wrestling World" for PS4 has been announced, and will be introduced below. The PC (Steam) version of the game, which is currently on sale, will also include the New Japan Pro-Wrestling collaboration content as additional DLC available for a fee. 39 players from New Japan Pro-Wrestling will appear in "Fire Pro-Wrestling Ring World" with their real names. The specialties and wrestling styles of each fighter are also reproduced in detail, allowing players to enjoy the heated battles of New Japan Pro-Wrestling on their own monitor. At the time of release, the selection is centered on the heavyweight division, but additional players will be added as downloadable content (DLC), and the junior heavyweight division and other divisions will be expanded as well.
