Thoughts on "LOST SONG" episodes 4-5: Mystery and unnatural circumstances that hide in plain sight......, a tale of two divas that make you want to read too much into it!
We're back with our "Lost Song" viewing review, this time bringing you episodes 4 and 5 in one fell swoop.
Episode 4: Song that goes down in the end
In this episode, Lynn decides to form a band and her friends begin to gather.
Lynn and her friends are on their way to the royal capital when a Royal Army vehicle appears in front of them. It appears that weapons are being assembled on the vehicle. Two girls are playing a steel drum-like instrument to enhance the concentration of the people working on the vehicle. As Lynn and the others watch, the vehicle bounces wildly and one of the girls on board dives into the air! She falls to the ground, but to their surprise, she is sound asleep! What is this guy?
Another girl rushes to her rescue. Her name is Alieu. The sleeping girl is her sister Monica. She explains that she has a habit of falling asleep when she is in danger. What kind of habit is that?
Anyway, as the two play music to make weapons, they say, "Why don't you just stop making weapons! and Lynn. Alieu, who has been rightly accused, refutes Lynn with tears in her eyes. It seems that the sisters are playing music in the Royal Army for some reason.
Later, Lynn arrives at a village and meets Aleu and her sisters again at a bar. It seems that this is their family home. They lie to their mother, the landlady, that they are working in the court orchestra. Why not tell her that they belong to the Royal Army? After all, they seem to have chosen to be in the army to raise money quickly and buy medicine for their mother. Perhaps because his mother is worried about him, he does not tell her that he is a member of the military.
Surprisingly family-oriented, the two sisters seem to have given up on their dream of playing music for fun. However, in order to make the sisters' dream come true, Lynn and Pony propose a session for them. A little concert begins at the store. The sound has become thicker with the addition of Alieu's percussion and Monica's chorus, whereas before there was only Lynn, her singing, and the melody played by the naive Pony. Lynn's singing also seemed to have more power.
As a result, the mother's eyes became visible! The power of Lynn's healing singing voice, wow!
Eventually, Alieu and Monica decide to leave the army and head for the royal capital with Lynn and her friends. It is not a bad thing that the friends gradually gather together in a royal RPG-like development!
Meanwhile, General Bazra mentions the name "Finis" in some disturbing manner. What is the relationship between the two?
On the other hand, Prince Rude, who continues to use the power of Finis' songs in the war, overhears something to Finis. After that, it is decided that the treatment of wounded soldiers using the power of song that had been provided up to that point will be discontinued. The soldiers on the front line are informed that "Finis will become a weapon to destroy the enemy army.
Leobold, who knows that Feenis' body is falling apart because she has already used the power of her song to the limit, cannot stay and rides off on his horse.
Lin and his friends head for the royal capital. Or, on the other hand, Feenis and her friends are at the mercy of war. When will their fates intersect?
And that is the end of the fourth episode.
What is interesting is that Lynn and her friends are being hunted by minstrels and singers, but there is no mention of such a hunt around Feenis. New weapons appear in front of Lynn and his friends at every turn, but there is no such thing around Finis. Also, Finis wrote something in the avant-garde title, but it seems to be a coat of arms written about the songs of the four great spirits that the ponies had.
It seems as if the two timelines are out of sync and the worlds don't seem to mesh. I can't help but feel that. Whether it is just my imagination or not, ...... will continue to the next episode with many mysteries.
Episode 5 Encounter Song
Episode 5 continues.
Finis destroys the enemy army with the power of song, but she breaks down in tears at the fact that she is hurting people with her own power. It turns out that Prince Rude had threatened to execute Leobold if he did not defeat the enemy.
Hearing this, Korte begins to gather wildflowers under the eyes of the soldiers. Does it really .......
While the Feenis side of the story is filled with disquiet, the Lynn side is also taking a turn for the worse. On their journey, Lynn and his friends see Leobold hurrying somewhere. It seems that he and Leobold are going to the same place, but there they are captured and imprisoned by the soldiers.
Lynn and Leobold are unexpectedly reunited for the first time since the first episode. He reveals that he has been traveling around the country to gather opposition voices in order to stop the King's Army, which is pushing for war.
...... Oh? Leobold had been sent to the front lines of the war. ...... What does this mean?
Does it mean that there are two Leobolds? Or is it .......
I feel that the discomfort that is visible at the edges of casual conversation is finally coming to the surface.
Despite such an important scene and the seriousness of their captivity, Lynn asks for food, Monica sleeps soundly, Alieu plays rhythm with his hands, and the pony and the group are at their own pace, with an eye for a nice guy (Leobold). This lack of tension is what makes this film so interesting.
Anyway, Leobold and Lynn and the others decide to cooperate and break through the barrier. The group soars into the sky with their carriages under the power of "Song of the Wind" sung by Lynn. Leobold, who rushes into the enemy lines alone to stop the soldiers, tells Lynn and the others that the other diva he is looking for is named "Finis," and that she is Dr. Weisen, a doctor who has been working for the company for many years. He also tells them to go to the laboratory of a scientist named Dr. Weizen.
Lynn and her friends run as fast as they can to their next destination. What awaits them there? And what will be the fate of Finis?
In the fifth episode, mysteries and foreshadowing that were unforeseen at the beginning of the broadcast finally came to the fore. At this point, it might be a good time to go back and rewatch from the first episode.
