Otaku ni Koi wa Hanaku" Episode 7: Did You Think Your Netto Spadari Boyfriend Was a Cheat?

Narumi is an office worker who is secretly a rotten girl, and Hirotaka is a serious video game otaku. The romance between the two is a new type of romantic comedy that portrays otaku romance in a positive light. This is a new type of romantic comedy that portrays otaku love in a positive light. This is "Otaku ni koi wa dakunai" ("It's hard to fall in love with an otaku"). Here are my impressions of episode 7.

At the end of the first episode, Hirotaka's proposal, "Why don't you just go with me? The heroine, Narumi, immediately decides to go out with Hirotake in the second episode.
In the second episode, Narumi has agreed to go out with Hirotake, but she can't bear the awkwardness of avoiding him and finds out that Kabakura and Hana-chan (they have become good friends and call each other "Hana-chan" and "Naru") are dating.

In the second episode, the two couples had already become two couples, but this was also the episode in which three out of the four turned out to be otaku in a rather terminal stage, as enjoying the spoils of war was more important than dining with fellow otaku.
In the third episode, the two of them go to an event together, and the spidery Hirotake is asked by his mob uncle, "Hey brother...how do you feel right now? And even though it's their first sleepover, they invite their senpai to join them for a mariachi cart, betraying the author's expectations of a normal night out.
In the fourth episode, the senpai's lover's quarrel is shown for a long time, and in the fifth episode, the interloper finally intervenes, but turns out to be Hirotake's younger brother. In episode 6, Narumi and Hirotake are enjoying their otaku life as usual, and even though Christmas is the biggest event in Japan, the seniors are enjoying a picture-perfect Christmas dinner at a fancy restaurant with Narumi and Hirotake playing a certain hunting game without any change. I don't know whether I should be relieved or envious.

⇒Episode 6 Impressions

Well, what about this week's wotakoi?

Something different anime started right from the start!
It's like a role-playing game, like an online game ......?
And there appeared an SD character, CV Sugita-san, with a swordsman-like appearance.
I was just about to start wondering if it was going to be a show where the person inside was playing a game with a certain voice actor, when it turned out (rather quickly) that this was Kabakura-senpai.
As if realizing my agitation, a voiceover and a speech balloon immediately announced, "The anime you are watching is 'Otaku ni Koi wa Hanaku' (It's Hard to Fall in Love with an Otaku)," indicating that the channel I was watching was not a mistake.
But what on earth was going on?

I thought it was just the usual opening small talk, but even after the commercial break, the SD characters I mentioned earlier were still on the screen.
It seems that Part A is the story of four people playing this online game.
Narumi is dressed as a cute elf, just like Kabakura-senpai's image. However, her occupation is Assassin, and her level is almost 20 levels higher than Kabakura-senpai.

It seems that today, Koyanagi-senpai, who has been reluctant to accept invitations to play online games with Narumi, decided to join the group.

However, Koyanagi had not logged in yet, and the two were still taking a break.
Koyanagi-senpai, on the other hand, was still in the middle of a break. Bath time! The sexiest scene since the beginning of this work (I think)!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And Koyanagi-senpai joins us after taking a bath.
Koyanagi-senpai's avatar is sexy with its exposed chest and nipped-in waist, but Kabakura-senpai noticed.
Kabakura-senpai noticed that the outfit was a chargeable item.

I see. ......
Hana-chan is so cool .......

Now, Hirotake-kun, who is a gamer but actually doesn't play many online games (communication is a hassle), hasn't joined us yet, but to our surprise, there was an alert in the field telling us that a rare enemy had attacked.

Narumi, blinded by money, went straight for the rare enemy.
The senpai started fighting, and just when it looked like they were about to be annihilated, Hirotaki-kun finally appeared on the scene!

I've been waiting for you!

......Wait a minute, wait a minute.
This Hirotake-kun looks a little strange. ......?
Is it his equipment?

He's wearing a jersey and a tusk that says something like "I never want to work, that I don't." ......
However, it is a well-known fact that in online games, no matter how jokey the equipment may look, the difference in equipment is not the decisive difference in the strength of the game. First of all, since Hirotake is the same Hirotake inside, it is entirely possible that he is actually a super high performer even if he is a joke when it comes to equipment. In fact, it is absolutely possible.

So, that (appearance) is not the issue at all.
That is not the problem at all.

Hirotaka, you don't look like such a simple guy, do you?

But then I heard a voice!
It's Naoya, CV: Kaji-kun!

It seems that Naoya is playing as a stopgap until Hirotake logs in.
However, he is in the middle of a battle with a rare enemy. And the other characters are already dying, so the situation is quite urgent.
Then, Hirotaka appears with a full heart! But inside is that game-phobic Naoya.
What to do, what will happen?
Kabakura-senpai is pondering what to do.
Hirotake-kun is the best among the four. Then, no matter how much he is a game aficionado, he can do something about it.
That's what Kabakura hoped for.
However, even the smallest hope is nothing compared to the dust before the wind in the face of Naoya's overwhelming ineptness at playing games.
Even Hirotaka's character, which was at the highest level, was instantly drained of its gauge, and the group began to feel a sense of despair in the face of the rare enemy, which was completely useless!

The point is to beat it with no casualties, right?
If you can do it, go for it!

Narumi replied in a flirtatious manner to the words he heard.

What?
It was not that Poya Poya Naoya-kun who just entered the room with Hirotake-kun. ......?

Just as I thought so, SD Hirotake-kun instantly killed a rare enemy with a mysterious bow and arrow!

And this is his face.

He's so cool, Hirotake-kun!

And next to him, sitting on the bed with his legs dangling, is Naoya, who is adorably begging, "Hey, hey, let me do it, too!
However, the innocent little brother's wish was turned down with a bite by his merciless older brother.

In the end, Part A ended with only SD characters from the online game.

Part B is a story about a boys' party of four male company members (Kabakura-senpai, Hirotake-kun, and two mob juniors) who go out for drinks, and a girls' party of Koyanagi-senpai and Narumi who eat at a family restaurant.

Kabakura-senpai and Hirotake-kun have not told their juniors that they are dating.
Koyanagi and Narumi are talked about a lot as beautiful, erotic, and cute, and Hirotake is happy that his girlfriend (he did not tell her) is praised, while Kabakura is plainly unhappy that his girlfriend (he did not tell her) is talked about.

Meanwhile, at a family restaurant, a new battle was raging.
This is a path that fujoshi cannot avoid.
It starts with talking about the works, and after talking about the moe of the characters, it ends up in a coupling war, starting with talking about couplings.
Koyanagi Senpai, the "hero x rival," and Narumi, the "rival x hero.
It is a battle of "Nato x Sake," "Sake x Nato," "Yuri x Viitor," or "Vikul x Yuri," to use an analogy.

The differences in interpretation often cause wars in the fudo-women's world.
This is what is known as the "coupling war.

I've seen something like this before. (Yes, the lines are pulled from episode 2 in the customary "famous scene recap maker" every time, but it doesn't feel out of place at all!)

Moreover, this story is ultimately about which of their own boyfriends would be a couple if they were a couple.
Coupling your own boyfriends is a deep karma, you guys. ......

However, the coupling that we dared to tell them here, based on the idea that it would match their preferences, turned out to be the opposite here as well, a miraculous turn of events in a sense.

Narumi "Hiroshi x Kaba
Koyanagi Senpai "Kaba x Hiroshi

Wow, if it were the usual pattern, they would certainly have been sliding into each other, but why is that? ......

Then, "The one with the prettier face has to be the aggressor! (Koyanagi) and "I don't really like Hirotake's face," and so on.
What are you guys doing with your own boyfriends?

The four of them (and their juniors) meet as they exit the restaurant to see if they have reached a settlement or a truce.

The juniors are shaking their heads, not understanding why Koyanagi-senpai and Narumi are getting along so well, based on what happened at the izakaya boys' party earlier.
It's because they are otaku.
(That's usually the answer.)

And this week's C part!

Hirotaka is definitely cooler!
Kabakura is better than him no matter how you look at it.
Naoya witnessed Koyanagi and Narumi arguing with each other and reported to his brother that the scene made him feel happy.

He was happy that his brother and his girlfriend are good friends, but his brother showed his good sense by saying, "...... that's probably not true.

07 "Netoge and each night
The members of the group decided to play online games together and started to get together in the game one after another.
The only thing left to do is to wait for Hirotaka, when suddenly a rare enemy appears!
Narumi, Hanako, and Kabakura, who are in a pinch due to their lack of strength, are faced with a savior (?). The savior (?) appears before the eyes of Narumi, Hanako, and Kabakura who are in a pinch. ......
