Fate/stay night", a figure of Saber in kimono dress from Alter!

From "Fate/stay night," a figure of "Saber" in kimono dress will be released in January 2019.

Fate/stay night" is a visual novel for PC released in 2004. It depicts the "Holy Grail War," a killing ritual in which seven sorcerers and seven heroic spirits make a contract and fight for the Holy Grail, a wishing machine that is said to make all wishes come true. In 2018, 14 years after its release, the movie version "Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel]" has been released and the social game "Fate/Grand Order" has been downloaded more than 12 million times, making it a very popular content.

Now, hobby manufacturer Alter presents a 1/7th scale figure of Saber in Kimono Dress Ver. based on an illustration by Takashi Takeuchi, who graced the cover of the magazine!

Standing with her hand on her treasure tool, Excalibur, Saber has a dignified air of a knightly king, but also has a dainty, girlish side that peeks out from her beautifully finished figure. In particular, the white dress has a gorgeous Japanese-style pattern with flowers and cranes, and the beautiful luster of the pearlescent paint can be enjoyed. The texture of the resilient fabric and the silhouette around the loosely spread hem give the dress an elegant and neat appearance.

The back view, with its beautiful back line, is also a must-see. While the dress is based on white, a large black ribbon on the back accentuates the kimono-like coloring. In addition, Excalibur can be made to glow with LEDs built into the pedestal.
