The first stage of the best and strongest trio unit! Report on "Triple Monsters LIVE -EVOKE-," the first solo event of "Triumon
The first independent event "Triple Monsters LIVE -EVOKE-" of "Digital Cardfight Triple Monsters," a smartphone application provided by Bushiroad, was held at Saitama City Cultural Center in Saitama Prefecture on May 26, 2018.
The event featured performances by "Violet Charm" (Haruka Sensuge as Yuria, Mirai Sasaki as Mikage, and Maasuke Yoshioka as Emma), "Groovy Light Blue" (Jun Shirota as Saw, Shota Aoi as Maurice, and Shuta Morishima as Finn), "Pink Sprout" ( (played by Yuka Ozaki as Diya, Hikaru Tono as Merlin, and Rimi Nishimoto as Esha) participated in talks, games, and live performances.
Before the show began, Tono, who plays Merlin, introduced the world of "Triple Monsters" in a live narration. As the anticipation for the stage grew, the cast members appeared on stage. Many of the cast members wore costumes and accessories inspired by their characters. Ms. Ozaki's parka, Ms. Nishimoto's large glasses, and Ms. Yoshioka's maid-style prims (hair ornaments) were particularly impressive. Ms. Ozaki's hairstyle was also matched with Diya in mind.
The three members of Pink Sprouts said, "We are Pink Sprouts! and they posed together like idols. Shota Aoi tied back his hair to recreate Maurice's look, but the main focus was actually on his feet. The golden ornaments on his shoes were inspired by the "Thunderbirds" (which Maurice uses), and he held up one of his feet and chanted "Invoke! Aoi excited the audience by raising one of his feet in the air and chanting "Invoke!
Violet Charm" from left: Mirai Sasaki as Mikage, Haruka Sensuga as Yuria, and Maayu Yoshioka as Emma.
The first corner started with character introductions. As this was the first event, each character was introduced in an orthodox manner according to the setting. When Ms. Morishima introduced "Finn is always pushed around by Mikage," Ms. Sasaki quickly said from the side, "They make a great duo! Ms. Sasaki quickly added, "They make a great duo! Ms. Sasaki also showed off her speaking skills when she introduced her character, Mikage, saying, "I was worried because I don't speak Kyoto dialect (Mikage's hometown), but I was fine with it because it was in standard Japanese.
One of the most exciting parts of the event was the "Triple Monsters" game showdown, in which the three units actually played against each other on the spot. Using the initial deck as a base, each team challenged the 10-round gacha five times. The final deck was constructed by adding the cards obtained from the initial deck.
The hotly contested matchup was the first game between "Violet Charm" and "Groovy Light Blue. The first half was led by the female "Violet Charm" team. Violet Charm, using the Water (Yuria) deck, played powerful cards one after another, including "Chouchou Alim," which allows the player to draw two cards, and "Siren, the Demonic Diva," which nullifies the opponent's skill damage, causing their opponent, Morishima-san, to scream.
However, it was Morishima-san who showed his competitive spirit at this point. With one more move and defeat at stake, Morishima-san played "Alara, the Magical Girl of Elves" as her winning move. The card's effect is "+3000 to all cards in your battlefield, hand, and deck until the end of the fight," an effect that continues during this match. The decisiveness in this turn is not so great, but if it survives, the positive effect will remain from the next turn onward, making it a move for the long-term battle. If Violet Charm wins this turn, Violet Charm wins. If it does not lose, Groovy Light Blue has the advantage. The result of the comparison of the two players' power totals was a tie, which rarely happens! In "Triple Monsters," a tie means no game, and the game will be carried over to the next round. For Groovy Light Blue, who was hoping for a long-term battle, a tie was as good as a win. As planned, Groovy Light Blue decided to make a come-from-behind victory from this point on, but it turned out to be an exciting game to the very end, with Sou's partner, Kaze Oni, and Yulia's partner, Rusalka, clashing.
The overall result of the round-robin competition was two wins for Groovy Light Blue, one win for Violet Charm, and zero wins for Pink Sprout. Pink Sprout was disappointed with the result, but when they were outnumbered in the matchup, they tried to curry favor with Mr. Sasaki, saying, "Senpai kirei desu! and tried to get Mr. Sasaki to add a touch of sesame to his game. What are you talking about? But when the junior players called out, "We'll get you some good sake for the party," he seemed a little upset. He looked a little upset when the junior members called out to him, "We'll prepare delicious sake for the launch! It was a fun time just watching the three friends from each unit earnestly discussing the match and being happy or sad at the development of the game. Mr. Shirota of Groovy Light Blue, the winner, said, "I am happy because I almost gave up on this victory. You can't give up on 'Torimon'! he commented wonderfully, as if he was the hero of the game.
Next was a live reading by the nine cast members. The scenario was based on the idea of Merlin, the principal of the school, who suggested that the three forces of the Academy, the Company, and the Devas should get together and perform a song on stage. ...... was the content that reminded the audience of the live performance that day. The familiar exchanges in the game unfold, but it is interesting to see the actors on stage in a slightly different light when their faces are visible. The good-natured Mr. Morishima was acting as Finn with a thorn in his side, and the usually innocent Ms. Ozaki put on an air of cool beauty as Diya, reminding us once again how great the voice actors' performances are.

An original live unit live performance specialized for a "trio".
The title of this event was "Triple Monsters LIVE -EVOKE-," but as far as I can tell, it was more of an event than a live performance. The reason for calling it a "live" event was to emphasize that each unit was serious about their songs and live performance, and that it was the "beginning" of their live performance. The first song of the live part was "Violet".
The first song of the live part was "To All Those Who Love This World," the theme song of the game "Triple Monsters" sung by Violet Charm. The singing ability of the three singers was so overwhelming that I couldn't help but watch them as they sang their solos. The two were surprised by Chisuge's ability to easily respond to Yoshioka's full throttle from the start of the song, while Sasaki's impressive voice enveloped them with a beautiful falsetto that fell between a calm tone and a beautiful falsetto. The three of them were beyond the category of character unit songs, and their stage presence was unique to the three of them.
Pink Sprout's "Se-no DE Dokkahn! was performed by Pink Sprout, with Ozaki's sparkling smile in the center, as if they were girls of the same age frolicking around (although Tono's Marlin is actually quite old). Not only were they energetic and cute, but their solo parts gave the audience a glimpse into the various charms of the three, including a slightly mysterious floating sensation. I was impressed by the way Nishimoto-san waved her extra sleeve around energetically, and Tono-san sang her solo part with straight heart and soul.
In Groovy Light Blue's "into one," the three singers, with their backs turned to the audience, turned around and began to sing in turn. What really stood out was the presence of Ms. Aoi, whose every light turn and careless finger gesture was so beautiful that it was almost frightening. The rap part with the three of them huddled shoulder to shoulder was also impressive.
The second lap, Violet Charm's "PHASE from a Mistake" was a fast-moving mid-tempo song with an appealing wave of low-pitched expression from all three. In this range, Ms. Sasaki's mature expressiveness is her sole domain. Along with Chisuge's refreshing coolness and Yoshioka's strong and handsome demeanor (her skirt-picking gesture showed a bit of shyness), Sasaki's bewitching presence, deeply immersed in the song and character, was even more striking.
Pink Sprout's "I can't stop the excitement! Tono-san, who is more fresh than her two predecessors, brought her and Merlin's cuteness to the forefront in this song. Their pose was also cute.
Violet Charm's "Last place ~Kimino Yakusoku~" appeared three times here. It was a slow tempo ballad with a beautiful falsetto sound. The lower the tempo of the low-tempo song, the more Ms. Sasaki's expressive power stood out. After the piano melody, the three members performed long solos, which were rich in emotion, just like a musical. The alternating succession of solos and beautiful triplets was overwhelmingly rich, and when the three of them got the audience excited, the one and only Mr. Yoshioka sang the chorus in high spirits, and then came the long solo.
The last song of the main event was "Glass Loveless" by Groovy Light Blue. The song was one of the features of "Trimon's" music. The long solos were sung in succession to show their individuality, and then the three sang together in the chorus. It is a slow ballad, but there are strong singing and bouncy, undulating expressions in the voices, giving the listener a sense of the song's fullness. The ballad is alive with the emotional richness of Ms. Morishima's voice, which draws you into the overflowing sadness of the song. Shirota-san's slightly faint sound of "Tightly hold me, don't let me go" was irresistibly sexy. Even with Shota Aoi, whose very existence itself is out of the 2.5 dimensional standard, in the center of the trio, I felt that each of the three had a strong claim to the spotlight, making them a very good trio unit.
Whenever they appeared on stage, female "Buddyfight" fans in the audience screamed and cheered. The bewitching smile and challenging look that Mr. Aoi showed as a soloist, pointing at the camera, had a magnetic pull that attracted the attention of the entire audience, and the difference in expression from when he sang as a character in a trio showed how much he has to offer.
In his last speech, Tono-san, who said that this was his first CD and first live performance as Merlin, expressed his feelings about this stage, saying, "I couldn't stop being anxious, excited, and looking forward to it. The audience really gives you strength on your first stage," she commented nostalgically. I was really happy that my first voice role as a voice actor was Sou-kun," said Ms. Shirota. The event was closed with a short speech by Mr. Shirota.
The event concluded with Shirota-san leading the entire audience in singing "To All Those Who Love This World. It was a slight miscalculation that the audience could not easily get into the chorus mode because the voices of Mr. Sensuge, Ms. Sasaki, and Mr. Yoshioka were so overwhelming, but Ms. Aoi sensed the mood and immediately shouted "Together! before the key phrases "EVOKE!" and "INVOKE!
The atmosphere at this event was very good. I strongly felt that I would like more people to see this unit singing.
