Otaku ni Koi wa Hanaku" Episode 9 Thoughts: "No Otaku Talk" is Like Being Told Not to Breathe Anymore

Narumi is an office worker who is secretly a rotten girl, and Hirotaka is a serious video game otaku. The romance between the two is a new type of romantic comedy that portrays otaku romance in a positive light. This is a new type of romantic comedy that portrays otaku love in a positive light. This is "Otaku ni koi wa dakunai" ("It's hard to fall in love for otaku"). Here are our impressions of episode 9.

At the end of the first episode, Hirotaka's proposal, "Why don't you just go with me? The heroine, Narumi, immediately decides to go out with Hirotake in the second episode.
In the second episode, Narumi has agreed to go out with Hirotake, but she can't bear the awkwardness of avoiding him and finds out that Kabakura and Hana-chan (they have become good friends and call each other "Hana-chan" and "Naru") are dating.

In the second episode, the two couples had already become two couples, but this was also the episode in which three out of the four turned out to be otaku in a rather terminal stage, as enjoying the spoils of war was more important than dining with their fellow otaku.
In the third episode, the two of them go to an event together, and the spidery Hirotaka gets a "Hey, brother...how do you feel now? And even though it's their first sleepover, they invite their senpai to join them in a mariachi cart, betraying the author's expectations of normal business.
In episode 4, the senpai's lover's quarrel was shown for a long time, and in episode 5, the interloper finally intervened, but it turned out to be Hirotake's younger brother.
In episode 6, the main couple enjoys their otaku life even though it's Christmas, and the senior couple enjoys their date.
Episode 7 was the most intense otaku episode to date, with online games and coupling stories.

In episode 8, which aired last week, Hirotake's aversion to thunder was revealed. In the second half of the episode, Hirotake and Narumi finally had a normal date! A date! A promise!

So that's how we spent an anxious week, but now, what about this week's wotakoi?

Last week's episode ended with an intriguing twist, but when the amusement park was suddenly shown on the screen, I couldn't figure out what was going on and tilted my head.

Amusement parks are the haunts of the rear-enders, .......

What in the world does such a place have to do with otaku?
Is Koyanagi-senpai coming to a cosplay event?

As I was thinking this, I realized my mistake.

A den of rear-enders?

...... I see!

Yes, the author was finally convinced.

Last week, Hirotaka said to me
Hirotake's comment last week, "Well, we'll go to the movies this Sunday! (Too late. (I noticed it when I was looking at this review last week.)

But that can't be helped, can it?

Because this isn't a movie theater, it's an amusement park: !!!!

It would be no exaggeration to say that movie theaters are now a familiar place for otaku, where support screenings, stage greetings, and even live viewing of voice-over events are held. In such a place, it would not be out of place for Narumi and Hirotake to be out and about. In fact, it would have made sense right away.

But, but, but...!
This is an amusement park!
Isn't it a den of rear-enders?

You know! The otaku! Couples!
Don't you think they would suddenly set the bar so high for a normal date (in a sense, a first date)!

No, it's a lie.
It simply wasn't in my mind.

And here they are, waiting for the attraction, when Hirotaka makes an outrageous proposal!

No wotalking!"

Oh, oh, oh, this is .......

Apparently, it's like "when in Rome, do as the Romans do, and when in Rome, do as the Romans do." So, they decided to go without wotalking since they had come all the way to the "Ria-chan's den.

However, Narumi, who has recently been so relaxed with Hirotake that he completely forgets to wear the skin of a rear end, wonders if he will be all right. ......

The first thing that comes to my mind is that I'm going to have to pay a fine.

500 yen per time is quite expensive. ......

I'm sure Narumi would have looked like a certain Kaji, even if he wasn't Narumi, saying "I'm going to run out of money for souvenirs" and "I don't have any money this month because of the rush of new publications. (He really did have that kind of expression, so please check it out in the book.)

But Hirotaka is a merciless man. No blood, no tears.

And when Narumi sees two cute boys standing in line, he makes a foul-mouthed remark and is fined.
As for Hirotake-kun, he plays a game on his phone while on the move, and since he is a gamer, he is also not allowed to play social games, so he too has to pay a fine.

■You too.

But then the two of them become strangely suspicious of each other and can't talk.
Hirotake, however, is curious about how Narumi, who has been dating her past boyfriends without revealing her wotas, has been living her life, so he asks her for her tips.

He asks her how she does it, and she simply replies, "There's always something to talk about. He simply says, "There's always something to talk about.

Narumi points out a white-water rafting attraction to Hirotake, who is troubled.
Hirotake was absolutely mortified.

After that, Narumi was still mumbling "I want to dress my guesses" when he saw the parade, and Hirotaka was mumbling "I want to be a muso" in the middle of the crowds.

They ended up at a haunted house where they were taken on a ride.
Narumi, however, is not very good at being scared and was very frightened.
She talked incessantly to cover up her fears, and when it was her turn, she quickly pulled Hirotaka's hand and got on the ride.

However, among the people waiting for the ride, I saw Hirotake's figure.

......What?

Narumi finally got on the ride and checked next to him.
He thought it was Hirotake-kun, but when he looked up, there he was!

It was Kabakura-senpai.
I'm glad it wasn't a total stranger or something.

However, he was upset that what he usually says at the office was not followed at all.
He was furious, saying, "Make sure you check! He was furious.
That's right.

And then there was a mysterious person who asked Hirotake, who was left alone, if he could sit with him.

It was Koyanagi, who had been preceded by Kabakura.

As the commercial breaks, the two groups are clearly separated.
On the one hand, the pair of Kabakura and Narumi, who are both afraid of ghosts and other scary things, and the pair of Hirotake and Koyanagi, who do not seem to care about such things at all and seem to answer, "The scariest thing in the world is people (or money).

The pair of Hirotake-kun and Koyanagi-senpai seemed to be saying, "The scariest thing in the world is people (or money). Narumi cried and snapped at Kabakura, "If it's scary, you don't have to watch it! Girls are like that, they are realistic in a weird way or .......
Narumi is scared to death from start to finish, but for some reason she is alone with her arms crossed, which is pointed out to her by Kabakura-senpai.
Narumi is so scared that she doesn't dare to tell him the cute reason that she doesn't want him to cross his arms even though he is not Hirotaka-kun, but instead tries to imitate Narumi's "spell to make me less scared" (she is so honest that it's almost adorable).

As a result, "It doesn't change at all, does it? Kabakura-senpai was pissed off.
That's right.

Finally, the attraction was over and the two pairs were able to meet up.
They paired up correctly and headed in different directions.
Kabakura-senpai nailed us again here, "I always tell you to do a final check. Is he a good guy?

As soon as we parted from the senpai, Hirotaka said his legs hurt.
I looked at them and saw that he had developed shoe sores from the long distance travel he was not used to.

Narumi sits on the bench and puts a bandage on it.
Narumi is very girly in that way, isn't he?

Then, suddenly, Narumi said, "I'm sorry, but I can't help it.

And then he drops a bomb that nearly stops Hirotake's heart!

The subject, however, was the "no otaku comments" rule that was mentioned at the beginning of the article.
Good for you, Hirotake.

And the moment it was lifted, Narumi started talking like a machine gun.
After all, you are a machine when you are with Hirotake.

The last part of the show ends with a present from Narumi to Hirotake.

Narumi showed us the cute part of matching earrings and pierced earrings, different colors, although technically they are not the same since Narumi has not pierced her earrings.

However, Hirotake's hole was almost closed up because he had not worn earrings for a while, so his earrings did not fit through, chan-chan.

I then tried to create a new one, using the "famous scene recap maker" on the official website, as I always do.

After all, Narumi's facial expressions are easy to use.
And Koyanagi-senpai's Dos statement suits him very well.
So, I'm looking forward to the next installment and the weekend ahead.

By the way, when will Mr. Sakuragi get involved in the main story?

09 "Let's go on a date!"
Hirotaka invites us to go on a date with him.
Narumi can't switch to non-otaku mode, but Hirotake tells him to "be a little more nervous than usual.
Thus begins a date with the otaku sealed off. ......?
