Thank you for "Pripara" and challenge to a new stage! i☆Ris 4th Live Tour2018 ~WONDERFUL PALETTE~", the 6th year of the tour, was also full of energy.

On June 10, 2018, "i☆Ris," a hybrid unit of voice actors and idols, held a two-day and two-night performance at Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo for their nationwide tour "i☆Ris 4th Live Tour2018 ~WONDERFUL PALETTE~.

This year marks the 6th year since the formation of "i☆Ris". They are now at a major turning point as the "Pripara" anime series, in which they have performed for about three years, finished airing in March, and "Magical Girl Site" started airing in April, in which they sang the theme song for the first late-night anime. The six members are now on their fourth tour with their third album "WONDERFUL PALETTE" released on November 1, 2017. Here is a report on the nighttime performance at Nakano Sun-plaza in Tokyo, which gave a big boost to the tour before the final show in Nagoya!

The members' individual performances were remarkable!

Let's forget about tomorrow!

The night session started with Yu Serizawa's powerful pre-show announcement. The curtain rose with "WONDERFUL PALETTE," the title tune of the third album, which is also the title of the tour.

As is common throughout the stage this time, the colorful production with multicolored lights was impressive. The rainbow-colored lights illuminated the six members of i☆Ris, who showed different faces for each phrase, such as wearing make-up, making fun of each other, or singing in a row.

They sang "Miracle☆Paradise", "Ready Smile! and "Ready Smile!

The audience cheered in perfect harmony. When Yuki Wakai shouted, "Let's go, Tokyo! the audience cheered along with her, clapped their hands to the rhythmic parts, and called out in unison when they should have done so. The band members were also able to perform spontaneously in response to the excitement of the audience. The sense of unity between the stage and the audience was pleasant.

The members' playful performances were also impressive, with each member changing the lyrics slightly and mixing in some fakes. This was another example of the members' relaxed attitude. At this point, I had a feeling that the live was going to be a divine stage.

During the first MC of the day, Saki Yamakita, who was so excited that she lost her voice, did an impersonation of actor Sei Hiraizumi, and Nika Akaneya sang a phrase from Bakufu Slump's "Runner" (vocalist: Sun Plaza Nakano) in reference to Nakano Sunplaza. The stage was free from the start. The gap between the sharpness of their singing and the subtly goofy talk is the charm of i☆Ris!

On the other hand, Mr. Wakai declared in a loud voice, "We will definitely make you happy! The stage was set to unfold just as he had said.

The playful members of the group brought smiles to the audience's faces!

The third album "WONDERFUL PALETTE" is a diverse album that includes songs by all six members as well as solo songs that showcase each member's individuality. The first solo performance was Serizawa's "Kimino Kano Usei" (Kimino Kano Usei).

Ms. Serizawa has already made her debut as a solo artist, and I was wondering how she would differentiate herself from "Yuu Serizawa" as a solo artist. Personally, I felt that while the solo artist Yuu Serizawa expresses her own idea of "cute Yuu Serizawa" in various songs, the solo Yuu Serizawa as i☆Ris is "cute + cool," a kind of character song with an awareness of her character in the i☆Ris unit. Seriko" sang lightly with the techno-pop sound by TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND about the part everyone expects and the possibility of more than just that!

Her charm was also on full display in the next song, "§Rainbow," where Seriko sang in the center of the B-melody, and her jittery choreography to express her uncontrollable emotions was as adorable as ever.

The following song, "Genshikyoku WONDERLAND," featured the same colorful lighting that has been cultivated over many years of stage experience, in addition to the expert stage presence. It was truly a performance unique to this tour.

The last words from Miyu Kubota were "The six of us are the best! I completely agree. I completely agree.

After such a nice remark, Kubota-san took the next solo stage. He sang "Lovely Time," of course. The tempo of the song is fast and upper, but in addition to singing the song, Kubota-san was able to perform the surprisingly intense choreography without any hesitation. Her performance was so sharp that it made the audience excited.

As I mentioned earlier, the various playful performances were impressive, and the next song, "Happy New World☆," was one such song.

Although it had been a while since they had sung this song live, the audience cheered from the introduction, as it is a popular song that is sure to be a hit. In the latter half of the song, Serizawa and Wakai sang the lyrics of the chorus part of the song by changing the words to "Nakano Sunplaza ni Yume no Melody" and "Nakano Sunplaza ni Naru Echo yo". After they finished the song, the two sang, "It was a great success! It was impressive that they looked at each other with big smiles on their faces as if to say, "Great success! I wondered if they had secretly prepared the song for the other members. Just looking at them, I was filled with a happy feeling.

Next was Yamakita-san, aka "Saki-sama," who performed solo. Heart Crash!", a fusion of a nostalgic melody and an uppery arrangement, knocked out the hearts of the audience. Saki-sama, who danced to the Showa-idol choreography of yesteryear with all her might, was just so cool and somewhat sexy. Her love for the Showa idols she respects was on full display on stage.

From hard songs to ballads, the six singers can sing at will.

The next soloist was Azusaki Shibuya, who sang a hard rock tune "DETERMINE," the most "handsome" girl in the unit! She sang the hard rock tune "DETERMINE" and encouraged the audience to "let me hear your voice more than in the daytime! The audience responded with shouts that shook the venue.

The last song of the hard song zone was the latest single "Changing Point". The song's melody was beautiful, with the members taking turns relaying vocals over the intense sound. The choreography of the song, which was like shooting out a gun, was reminiscent of "Magical Girl Sight," the tie-up movie for the song. i☆Ris showed the most serious and cool appearance of the day, and I could sense the will of the six members to continue challenging themselves to new things.

During the MC after the live, they asked the audience who came to i☆Ris' live for the first time to raise their hands. The fact that i☆Ris had won the first late-night anime tie-up with "Changing Point" might be the result of their spreading their name recognition among anime fans who had not checked out all daytime anime before.

After more than an hour of excitement, Akaneya-san cooled down the audience with her solo ballad "Dear...". Akaneya sang a solo ballad "Dear..." calmly to cool down the audience who had been excited for more than an hour. Fans are well aware of Akaneya's outstanding singing ability, and this song allowed the audience to enjoy her voice to the fullest. Her elongated voice, beautiful falsetto, and other aspects of her performance were very much worth listening to, and she captivated the audience.

From there, they moved on to "Puzzle," a song written and composed by Ms. Wakai. The dramatic performance of the song, in which the members appeared on stage one after another and passed the vocals on to each other, was beautifully staged with full use of lighting.

Then they went straight into Wakai's solo song "Growing days", which was also written and composed by Wakai. This is another refreshing song written and composed by Ms. Wakai. Ms. Wakai, who professes to aspire to be a singer-songwriter, showed her true colors. Her charm and talent overflowed on stage, followed by the energetic "Daily Berry! to the energetic "Daily Berry! The six of them ran across the stage, doing monkey dances, bending over, brushing their teeth, and any other movement they wanted to do. At the end of the performance, the audience sang along in unison, swinging their arms from side to side in a chorus.

The last part of the live was full of "Pripara" love!

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, the "Pripara" anime series finished airing in March. As the members themselves said in an interview that without "Pripara," i☆Ris would have ended as well, the girls must have more feelings for "Pripara" than just being in the series.

This sentiment was also evident in the setlist of the live performance.

The live was filled with "Pripara" theme songs in the first half of the show, and of course the last block of the show was also "Pripara" theme songs!

In the last part of the live, the songs that colored the works were performed in succession.

First was "Shining Star," the OP theme song of the final cool of the indie "Prepara" series. The euphoric sound of the song, as well as the phrase "Forever Dreamer Forever Prepara" in the last part of the song, is very moving to listen to now. The audience sang along in chorus for a work that will be passed down forever.

Then came "Make it!", the first OP theme of the "Prepara" series that started it all. Here, Akaneya-san, who plays the main character Raara Manaka, took the center stage, and the other members gathered there in a formation. The stage, which was linked to the work, was sure to be a hit with "Pripara" viewers.

The last song of course was "Memorial," the last OP theme of "Idol Time Prepara," which recently finished airing.

It's a little embarrassing, but I want to say "Thank you" to you.

Is it just me, or did it sound like they put a lot of effort into this phrase, which is a message not only to the work but also to the fans who have supported them? The audience was also happy to see the performance of "SoLaMi♡SMILE" (Akaneya, Serizawa, Kubota) and "DressingPafé" (Yamakita, Shibuya, Wakai), and at the end the six sang in a circle. The finale of the live was a stage where the audience could feel I☆Ris' appreciation and love for the work "Pripara".

After that, i☆Ris appeared for encore wearing casual costumes such as T-shirts and shorts, and went into the extended "Pripara" zone.

The six members performed "Dream Parade" while happily walking around the stage. During the performance, they threw autograph balls to the floor and arranged the lyrics in various ways, giving the song a party atmosphere! (Mr. Wakai, a former handball player, showed off his strong shoulders here!)

(Here, Wakai-san's strong shoulders were on full display! ) Here, "Fan of Wonder☆," a bonus track included only in the CD only version of the album "WONDERFUL PALETTE," was performed for the first time at the live.

This DIY song, written by Yamakita, composed by Wakai, and arranged by Shibuya, is a festive number full of Japanese taste. As the title suggests, they showed a vivid stage performance with a fan in one hand. I was surprised that many fans prepared their own fans even though they had not been informed of the event! Everyone was as good as expected!

Just as there was only one song left, there was some new information. Ms. Serizawa will hold "her 3rd birthday solo live" in Tokyo. He also announced that he would hold his "first fan meeting in Japan" in Nagoya and Osaka.

Shibuya then announced that on August 11, the day of his 25th birthday, he will hold his first self-produced solo event "AZK's presents -ViVASHER! -(read: Vivasher!!!)" in Tokyo on August 11, the day of her 25th birthday.
