You Still Don't Know Gumma" Episode 10: "Gumma's Sports Day (Part 2)" Konnyaku Jelly, Miso Bread and Shimonita Negi

The short anime "You Still Don't Know Gunma" started this April.
Based on a comic serialized on the web comic distribution site "Kurage Bunch," it is a comedy in which " Gunma" (Gunma Prefecture/people in Gunma Prefecture), which is often disparaged on the Internet, is deformed with exaggerated action scenes with a lot of tension.

This work is so local that only the local commercial TV station, Gunma Television (Gunma Television), broadcasts it, which is a crying shame. However, it is also available on Animax and GYAO! The author, a native of Gumma, will delve into the details of such a super-local work with love.

The theme of the 10th episode is the second part of "Sports Day in Gumma. The main character, Kozuki, goes to his nephew Minoru's elementary school field day on behalf of his parents. There, he is asked to participate in a scavenger hunt, in which he faces off against his classmate Kyo Shinozuka.

The theme of the scavenger hunt is "Gunma's specialties"! So, this time around, there are all sorts of specialties. First, Kyo drew the first subject, "konjac jelly," and I thought to myself, "Is there such a thing around here?" Kozuki, you are a sweetheart! Speaking of Gumma, konjac is a specialty of Shimonita, as it is said in the Kamige Karuta (see past installments), "Negi and konjac, Shimonita's specialty. The Gumma people (probably) used konjac to make the confectionery jelly. The representative example is "konnyaku-hata " manufactured by Mannan Life, an excellent local company, which is well known through TV commercials and is probably sold throughout Japan. I am sure that there are two, three, or even a hundred or two hundred people who bring frozen "konnyaku-bata" to athletic meets. This would be by far the easiest mission.

In contrast, Kozuki drew a theme of "Miso Buns! As I mentioned in the "Yakimanju" episode, this is also a specialty of Gumma. However, miso buns are sold only in a limited number of places (as mentioned in "The Truth about Gumma," this miso bun originated from a bakery in Numata City), and not many people carry them around. Suddenly, Mr. Kamizuki was in a pinch!

In response to such a challenge, a voice from the audience said, "Give up on the miso buns. Indeed, it would be safer to give up. As he was about to change the subject, a man with a sprained leg came to him and gave him something, saying, "Take this and run instead. That was the "Shimonita green onion," the other half of the Shimonita specialty mentioned above. For some reason, however, Kozuki mistook it for a "toy for adults. No, no, no, that's not true.

Regardless of that, Kamizuki was on his way to the goal with the Shimonita onion. Kyo is standing in front of the goal to block him. Kyo is standing in front of the goal, trying to block him! Kyo was sliding down the field, but as he did so, the part of his beard on the Shimonita negi touched a certain part of Kyo's body.

You can imagine what happened next.
