─ About the new single "Longhope Filia" to be released on August 1

This time, from the very beginning, I had a clear objective of creating the first theme song for the movie version of Hiroaka.
I think that everyone has their own heroes, children and adults alike, but I think that heroes are symbols of justice and love.
When I thought of singing about such heroes to people of all ages and genders, I decided to create a new album "PLAY" in March of this year,
I asked Hiromu Akita of amazarashi, with whom I worked on my album "PLAY" in March of this year, to write a song for the album. The word "philia" means "affection" or "friendship" in Greek.
This song is filled with the thought of "long-lasting hope for our dear friends," and as I sang it, I felt myself being encouraged, and I believe that I have created a song with the strength and hope to do my best with my dear friends, regardless of their age.

─ About "My Hero Academia

I have been reading JUMP every week since I was a little girl, and I have also read Hiroaca since its serialization began, so as a JUMP fan and a Hiroaca fan, I am very honored and happy to sing the theme song for the first movie version.
I like action manga and shonen manga in which the main character works hard and grows as a person. What these manga have in common is that even though they are all heroes that I admire, they may not be perfect, but their love, effort, and other emotional aspects strike a chord with people. In Heroica, the main character, Deku, is just a boy who is not expected by those around him, but he has a sense of justice and longing within himself, and All Might sees through that and gives him his personality. I have always loved the story of how anyone can become a hero by continuing to work hard and not giving up, because no one can do everything from the beginning, so I am looking forward to Deku's further growth in the movie version.

─ About the new single being the theme song for "My Hero Academia: The Movie - Two Heroes

In the movie version of Hero Academia the Movie, the past of the "overwhelming hero" All Might is revealed,
Mr. Akita of amazarashi told me that he wrote the lyrics from All Might's point of view rather than that of the hero, Deku.
The more I sang, the more these two heroes and their stories became linked to my own,
The more I sing, the more these two heroes and their stories link with my own, and I feel that there really is hope in this song with its warmth and strength.
I hope that "Longhope Philia," which I sang along with this movie, will reach many people, and I hope that through the movie and the song, people will feel like "I got a push from you" or "I want to give someone else a push. I would be very happy if people feel like "I got a push from you" or "I want to push someone else's back.

Music provided by Hiromu Akita(amazarashi)

─ What I thought about when creating the music

From the very beginning, I was conscious of the fact that I wanted to create this work completely for "My Hero Academia".
Since I was providing the music for Mr. Sugata, I eliminated my personal ego and amazarashi's ego, and as an artist, I created the music with the feeling of dedicating it to Hero Academia and Mr. Sugata.

─ ─ Thoughts on the music

The themes I set for myself when creating this song were "hero" and "friend.
I think the lyrics are closer to All Might's point of view than to that of the hero, Deku.
I came up with the phrase, "Friends, long may you hope," first, and I wrote it while imagining it as the catchphrase for the CD's obi.
Of course, my personal feelings were included, but I was careful in my wording so that the song would reach as many people as possible.

─ What do you feel about Masaki Sugata singing "Longhope Philia"?

This song would not have been created if it were not for the fact that it is the theme of Hiroaka sung by Mr. Sugata.
I was not very experienced in the production of this song, so I was unsure about how to write it, but when I heard Mr. Sugata sing it, I felt that I was not mistaken. In the sense of a young hero, Sugata-kun and Deku seem to me to overlap.

Producer: Wakana Okamura (Toho Co., Ltd.)
Hiroaka is a work that places great importance on "hotness" and "emo," which is the charm of the original work, and we, the producers of the anime, are very conscious of this.
The "emo" in Masaki Sugata's voice and singing is a perfect match for "Heroaca",
I thought that the "emo" in Masaki Sugata's voice and singing would be a perfect match for "Heroaca," and he fit in more perfectly than I had intended!
When I first heard the song, my mind was filled with the thoughts and feelings of the Hiroaca characters, and I felt as if the song was pushing me forward, which brought tears to my eyes.
I think the fact that Hiromu Akita of amazarashi, who also sang the OP theme for the TV anime, wrote the lyrics based on his deep understanding of the Heroaca worldview was also a big factor.
