The journey (tour) to find Gunma-chan has begun! Aya Uchida "LIVE TOUR 2018 ~So Happy!!!!! ～Report on the first day of the "Live Tour

Voice actress and artist Aya Uchida's second live tour "AYA UCHIDA LIVE TOUR 2018 ~So Happy!!!!! ~~" celebrated its first day on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall.

As the title of the tour suggests, the tour was filled with "Happy" and was a super happy event that brought happiness and smiles to everyone.

Where did Gunma-chan go?

Where is Gunma-chan?　Come on, everyone!　Let's have fun!

Ms. Uchida shouted as she appeared through the door on stage and opened the live with the opening number "So Happy" (the ending theme of the TV anime "You Still Don't Know Gunma"). Her fashionable and powerful voice echoed in the colorfully shining venue. During the song, she played rock-paper-scissors with the audience, making everyone happy, winners and losers alike.

In the following song "Holiday," the call and response of "So Happy? The fun part of the song was the call and response of "So Happy? Since the Valentine's live in February focused on love songs rather than standard Valentine's songs, the audience cheered for "Apple Mint" as if they had been waiting for it. In response, Ms. Uchida looked happy and excited on stage.

The first song "So Happy" was the ending theme of the TV anime "You Don't Know Gunma Yet," and as a native of Gunma Prefecture, Ms. Uchida has a strong emotional attachment to the show. However, she was disappointed that "Gunma-chan" (Gunma Prefecture's mascot character) was not there when she was told he would be there. I wonder where she went? He said, "Where did he go?" and announced the beginning of his journey (tour) to look for Gunma-chan.

In the song "Crying Besso Panda Went Where?" the word "panda" was changed to "Gunma-chan," as if they were looking for Gunma-chan. It is just like "Where did the crying panda go? Moreover, Ms. Uchida, who was looking for Gunma-chan, had a puppet of Gunma-chan in her hand instead of the usual panda.

Furthermore, "Come on, let's go! Pegasus" and "Go! My Cruising!" were also performed with Gunma-chan's version of the lyrics and lines, as if she were riding a bicycle or crossing the sea to find her. In this way, they created the atmosphere of each song, showing a performance unique to this live show.

During the MC between songs, they talked about what had made them "super happy" that day, such as being the first one to arrive at the assembly before the live. Then she gently sang "Close to you" to express her feelings for everyone who always makes her smile, and left the stage for a while.

The stage to connect happiness with everyone!

After changing into their red and white checked outfits, the second half of the concert started with a series of songs. Uchida's range of expression was impressive, from the rap-like part in "What you want!" to the stylish worldview in "with you" to the mature sexiness in "Kaleidoscope Londo. In "Kiristero," she created the stage together with the audience, her sharp voice echoing in the bright red world.

Not to be outdone by the sense of unity in the audience, she declared that she wanted to return the favor with more songs. In the last spurt, she performed "Blooming! Uchida's face was full of happy smiles as she removed her earpiece to listen to the cheers of the audience.

The last song of the main program was "Sweet Little Journey," the coupling song of the 2nd single. The song was set to a light and bouncy ska rhythm, and the Gunma-chan puppets sang along with the song as they traveled on their way, but they were unable to find her in the end.

For encore, they performed "Bright way" for the first time, the opening theme song for the TV anime "Hyakuren no Haou to seiyaku no senmao" which will start in July. As it was her first opening tie-up, she showed a new side of herself that was outstandingly cool.

After teasing the band members in her typical interview, she performed "Breezin'" and "Say Goodbye, Say Hello," and enjoyed the stage full of happiness until the end.

The tour will continue to Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Gunma. As she said, "I hope to find happiness in each place," we can't wait to see what kind of happiness they will find, and whether they will find Gunma-chan!
