Switch "Mario Tennis Aces" reveals updated characters post-launch!

Mario Tennis Aces" for Switch, scheduled for release by Nintendo on June 22 (Friday), has revealed new characters that will be added in a post-launch update.

The five additional characters announced this time are "Sawtooth," "Gesso," "Diddy Kong," "Katherine," and "Patapata. Sawdust" will be available in the July online tournament (July 1-31) and "Gesso" will be available in the August online tournament.

The additional characters can be used from the first day of the following month (August for "Sawtooth" and September for "Gesso") even if they do not participate in the online tournament, so those who do not play online matches should not worry.

Nokonoko
Nokonoko is a speed-type character.
He can move by sliding with his kora, and has the highest speed among all characters.
Pick up the ball quickly by sliding across the court.

Nokonoko will be available by participating in the July online tournament (7/1-7/31) in the commercial version.


■Gesso
Gesso is a tricky-type character whose shots bend well.
Theresa and Rosetta are other tricky types, but Gesso is unique in that his topspin is bendy.
With a large spinning topspin and a slightly bending slice, Gesso is able to wiggle around and play with his opponents.
Gesso will be available by participating in the August online tournament (8/1-8/31) in the commercial version.


In addition, three characters that will be added after September, Diddy Kong, Catherine, and Patapata, have also been revealed and will be introduced as well.
