PS4/Switch/Steam "PixelJunk Monsters 2", the first DLC is available today, June 19! DLC introduction trailer also released!
Spike Chunsoft is releasing the first DLC for "PixelJunk Monsters 2," a tower defense game for PS4/Switch/PC (Steam), today, June 19 (Tuesday).
PixelJunk Monsters" is the latest installment of the popular tower defense game in which players protect children from hordes of monsters that attack in lines. Players take on the role of "Tiki Man" and build towers with various abilities on the map to intercept the monsters before they reach the children.
In "PixelJunk Monsters 2," the graphics have been changed from the 2D of the previous title to a warm, clay-animated 3D, and the game can be played from Tikiman's viewpoint as well as from a bird's eye viewpoint. Furthermore, the 3D graphics have been enhanced with the addition of "maps with elevation differences," making the game even more strategic as a tower defense game.
The game also supports cooperative play by up to four players online and two players offline. Players can share the responsibility of building towers, or dance together to speed up the tower level-up.
The first DLC for this title, "PixelJunk Monsters 2 Encore Pack," was released today, June 19 (Tuesday)! The second DLC, "PixelJunk Monsters 2 Danganronpa Pack," which will be distributed on July 3 (Tuesday), has also been released with a "DLC Introduction Trailer" that introduces its contents in an easy-to-understand manner.
The old-fashioned "Sekino Mountain" will appear as a new area!
