On June 20, 2018 (Wed.), the TV anime adaptation announcement of this work was held at Nittele Hall.

The first main cast members announced, Takeo Otsuka (playing Run Kurahara) and Toshiyuki Toyonaga (playing Haiji Kiyose), took the stage to talk about the work and announce various new information about the anime adaptation.

The announcement of the TV anime adaptation has been met with high expectations from many fans. Otsuka commented on his current feelings, "I feel responsible for playing the main character, but I am looking forward to seeing the anime on film. He also shared his thoughts. Regarding the appeal of this work, which has gained popularity not only as a novel but also as a comic book, stage adaptation, and live-action film since its publication in 2016, Mr. Otsuka said, "This work is a detailed depiction of a simple race, but it evokes a variety of themes. After the passionate talk about the work, new information about the TV anime was finally announced.

Character Introductions

KURAHARA Run [Kakeru] CV: OHTSUKA Takeo
A first-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology. He tends to be soft-spoken and closed-minded. When he was wandering around without a place to live, he meets Haiji and becomes the 10th resident of Takezousou. Haini's carefree words and actions always make her feel uneasy. He is good at running.

Haiji Kiyose [Haiji] CV: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
A fourth-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology and Literature. Despite his gentle smile, his strong will and strangely persuasive words and deeds get the residents of Takezousou involved in some grand scheme. He is in charge of cooking, serving meals to the residents every morning and evening. He always wears jerseys wherever he goes.

Takashi Sugiyama [Prodigy] CV: Koki Uchiyama
A third-year student in the Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Sociology at Kansei University. He is from a mountain village in Tohoku. His nickname comes from the fact that he was called a child prodigy by adults in his childhood. Currently, he is the only resident of Chikusei-so who has a girlfriend. He teaches Musa some difficult Japanese and is happy to see his growth every day.

Akane Kashiwazaki [Prince] CV: Miyu Irino
She is a second-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology and Literature. She is a beautiful manga geek with long, fluttering hair, long eyelashes, and white skin. She lives buried in a collection of books so large that the floor almost falls out. He is well versed in all kinds of manga, and has experienced friendship, romance, and battles with powerful enemies in his mind.

Taro [Jota] CV: Junya Enoki
A first-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology, Department of Political Science and Economics. He is the older of the twin Jou brothers. As a reaction to spending his high school years playing soccer, he dreams of a new life at university, where his only goal is to play with girls. He is innocent, but he thinks he is more solid than his brother.

■Jiro [George] CV: Yusho Kamimura
A first-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology, Department of Political Science and Economics. The younger of the twin Castle brothers. As a reaction to spending his high school years playing soccer, he dreams of a new life in college, where his only goal is to play with girls. He is innocent, but he thinks his brother needs me.

Yukihiko Iwakura [Yuki] CV: Kazuyuki Okitsu
A fourth-year law student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology, Yuki is a brilliant student who passed the bar exam in his junior year. However, after passing the bar exam, he became unhinged and is now a playboy who goes to clubs every night. He prefers intelligent and calm discussions, but is easily riled up by the smoke pollution of nicotine.

Musa Camara [Musa] CV: Hideaki Kabumoto
Second-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology, Faculty of Science and Technology. A government-sponsored international student from Tanzania. In his hometown, he was driven to and from school by a car, a young lad there. He tends to shy away from sports because he is not good at fighting, but for some reason, he is physically fit.

Yohei Sakaguchi [King] CV: Chikara Kitazawa
He is a fourth-year student in the sociology department of Kansei University. His biggest worry at the moment is job hunting. He is a self-proclaimed quiz king who is skilled in miscellaneous knowledge, but he can't watch quiz shows unless he borrows a TV set from a prodigy. In order to keep the conversation going, he started reading miscellaneous books.

Akihiro Hirata [Nicochan] CV: Takanori Hoshino
A third-year student at Kansei University's Faculty of Sociology, Faculty of Science and Technology, he is the oldest student who remains in his third year. A super heavy smoker, he is an IT-related home worker with enough skills to survive without graduating. He is also amused by Yuki's complaints.
