The second season of the TV anime "Grouchy Mononokean" will be produced! Cast comments from Hiroki Kaji and Tomoaki Maeno have also arrived!

The production of the second season of the TV anime "Grouchy Mononoke An" written by Wazawakiri was announced on the obi of the 11th volume of the original comic, which was released on June 22.

The "Grouchy Mononokean" is an anime work based on a web manga serialized in GUNGAN ONLINE (Square Enix). The first season of the TV anime aired in July 2016.

The second season of the TV anime announced this time will be produced by PIERO PLUS, following the previous one. The scenario will be composed by Taka Yoshioka. It was also announced that director Itsuro Kawasaki, who worked on "Tsukiyuta: The Animation" and "Magical Girl Me," has been invited to join the project.

In conjunction with the announcement of the second season's production, comments were received from the original author, Wazawakiri, Yoshioka Takao, who has been involved in the production since the first season, Kaji Yuki, who plays the role of Ashiya Hanaedo, and Maeno Tomoaki, who plays the role of Abe Harusai.

We have heard about the anime adaptation, the second season! and just like the first season, one day out of the blue
I was astonished to receive a report from the person in charge by phone. Unlike the first season, however, I was upset with joy, but was able to reply in a reasonable manner, "Thank you very much! I think I was able to reply in a decent manner.

I had a greedy fantasy of a second season if possible, but the sense of accomplishment combined with the feeling of "this is the end of my dream," and I said goodbye to the staff at the end of the first season as if I were looking at a running light. So I honestly thought, "No way, a second season...! I honestly feel that I have been a part of the project for a long time.

For me, it is the greatest reward to have my work made into an anime.

I am in charge of scriptwriting and series composition following the previous series. I am also in charge of writing the script and the series structure, following on from the previous series. The script is more dramatic and exciting than the previous series, but I was careful not to neglect the cuteness of Moja, who is still as cute as ever. What I am trying to say is that this time, too, "Moja~! That's why.

＜Synopsis
A "yokai exorcism" is the work of sending back to the "hidden world" those yokai who for some reason or another have remained in the "present world" from the "hidden world" where they are supposed to reside.

One day, a high school student, Hanae Ashiya, who is possessed by a yokai, happens to visit the Mononoke An, a place where yokai are exorcised, using a contact she saw by chance. There she finds the owner, Harusai Abe, in a foul mood.
For some reason, Ashiya ends up working as a part-time employee at the Monokai-an. ......

The story of Ashiya and Abe, the yokai exorcism duo, and the yokai themselves begins.
