35th Anniversary Limited Edition Wristwatch Dedicated to All Fans of "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" Created in Collaboration with SEIKO

Premium Bandai Branch", a mail order site of Bandai Co., Ltd. has started accepting reservations for " Macross The Super Dimension Fortress × SEIKO Earth Integration Force Model 35th Anniversary Watch [Premium Bandai Limited]" (37,800 yen including tax / excluding shipping and handling fees).

This Japanese animation work started with "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross," which aired from October 1982 to June 1983. It is a science fiction drama that portrays life-size young people in an epic story of interstellar war with aliens, with abundant ideas such as the Valkyrie, a variable fighter that transforms into a fighter, GAWK, and Battloid; urban space inside a giant battleship; giant aliens without culture; a love triangle between a pilot, a female superior officer, and an idol singer; and other elements. The following year, in 1984, after the broadcast ended, the film was released in theaters. In 1984, the year following the end of the broadcast, the theater production "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Ai Oboeme Desu ka" was released, and its popularity was confirmed. Subsequently, "Macross 7," "Macross F," and other "Macross Series" works have been released.

This anniversary watch (pilot model for the United Earth Forces) was commercialized through a collaboration between the anime "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross," which celebrated its 35th anniversary, and the watch manufacturer Seiko.

The "Macross" series has been loved for over 35 years.
In this project, we pursued a universal and minimalist design that will last as long as the work itself. The result is a design that is simple, yet has a strong core and will never grow old.

In terms of design, the "Earth Integration Force mark" is subtly placed on the subdial at 9 o'clock and added to the subdials at 12 and 6 o'clock to accentuate the design.

In terms of functionality, the watch is equipped with a stopwatch function measuring 1/20th of a second, reminiscent of a flight watch.
The hour and minute hands and indexes are lumibrighted to ensure high visibility even at night.

The watch is water resistant to 10 atmospheres.

The watch is also equipped with a tachymeter and date display function, and has a variety of other specifications.

The bracelet features a "Rakuraku Adjust" function that allows the wearer to adjust the size of the bracelet by themselves.

Both in terms of design and functionality, the watch is perfect for both on and off-duty use.

The back of the watch is engraved with a letter commemorating the 35th anniversary and a serial number.

The special box designed for this project is printed with the same 35th anniversary letters on the top surface as on the watch caseback, and when the box is opened, the Integrated Earth Forces mark and the watch are revealed. The cushion part is colored red to resemble the JOINT EARTH Forces mark.

The product is scheduled to be delivered in December 2018. Reservations will be accepted until 23:00 on July 30, 2018, but please make your reservations as soon as possible, as they may be terminated once the prepared number is reached.
