Switch "Daijin Zekkei Version" introduces characters & episodes based on Momotaro and Urashima Taro! Advance DL & popularity vote for all characters also started!

Capcom has revealed the unique characters and their episodes that color the world of "Daishin" from "Daishin: The Great Gods of the North" for Nintendo Switch, which will be released on August 9, 2018 (Thursday).

The HD remastered version of "Okami: The Great Gods" is a remastered version of "Okami: The Great Gods" originally released for the PS2 in 2006, with higher resolution graphics and various new elements added. Set in a world of nostalgic and fantastic landscapes reminiscent of ancient Japan, the main character, the white wolf "Amaterasu," sets out on a journey to defeat the monster "Yamata-no-orochi," which has awakened from a 100-year sleep.

The game features Amaterasu's "Brush Shirabe" ability, which allows her to perform various miracles by running her brush, as well as the "three divine weapons" of "Kagami" (mirror), "Katadama" (jewel), and "Ken" (sword). The Nintendo Switch version of the game supports "Brush Shirabe" operations by drawing directly on the touch screen or by gyro control using the Joy-Con. This allows for more intuitive play.

Three characters and episodes based on the famous folktales "Momotaro" and "Urashima Taro" have been revealed! Check out how they will play an active role in the story of "Taishin".

In addition, pre-orders for the game are available on the Nintendo eShop starting today, July 5 (Thu.)! If you purchase the downloadable version of "Ogami: The Great View" prior to the release date, you will be able to play the game from midnight on the day of release, which is called "advance download (pre-order). You can play the game right away just by starting up the software on the day of release.

In addition, a popularity vote project for all the characters in "Daishin" has started on the official Daishin Twitter page, so don't miss out on that as well!

◆Momotaro

Momotaro is a young boy who meets a commoner in the streets of Xianjing. He seems to be looking for a friend to play "exterminate demons" with and invites Amaterasu to join him.
The flag on his back says "one a day", which seems to refer to his grandmother's kibidango dumplings, but he seems to have lost them.
Momotaro looks like the monkey and pheasant that accompanied him in an old tale.

Momotaro invites Amaterasu to become his retainer for a game of demon extermination. Amaterasu is out of kibidango dango (dumplings), but Momotaro unexpectedly finds a way to get them. Amaterasu finds a way to get the dumplings in an unexpected way...?

◆Urasima
A fisherman who lives by the sea in Ryoshimabara. He encounters children bullying him on the beach.
He once went to the Dragon Palace, and it is said that "those who are qualified to go to the Dragon Palace will be picked up by Shachimaru.
In the old tale, he saved a tortoise from being bullied and was invited to the Dragon's Palace, but in "Ookami" Urashima himself seems to be being bullied.

▲Urasima tells us how to meet Shachimaru, who will take us to the Dragon's Palace. But to get to the Dragon's Palace, you have to find the entrance to it. Speaking of Urashima Taro in the old tale, we must not forget the "Tamatebako" that you get when you return from the Dragon's Palace.

When you board the Shachimaru, you can freely control where you go. Since we are here, let's go around the islands floating in the sea. There are sure to be many discoveries and good things to be found.

◆Otohime
Otohime is the chief of "Ryugujo," the palace of the Dragon Gods. He invited Amaterasu to calm down the rampaging water dragons on both islands. The power of the water dragons, who are gods, is so great that they threaten the sea-dwellers.
And what is the truth behind the relationship between Otohime and the water dragon?
Otohime, who appears in the old tale of "Urashima Taro," is said to have thanked Urashima for saving the turtles by treating them generously with dancing and cooking. It seems that Otohime in this story is in no condition to extend hospitality....

The Dragon Palace is located at the bottom of the sea where Otohime rules. Make sure you don't miss any treasure chests or items. There is also a useful water-related brush stroke that can only be obtained here.

The evil hand of a monster is here, too..! Otohime, who wants to protect the peace of the sea, asks Amaterasu to retrieve the "Dragon Ball" inside the water dragon's body...
