The development of a live-action film adaptation of Japan's most popular robot anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam" has been finalized.
From July 5 to 8, 2018, at the Gundam Panel Discussion Stage at Anime Expo 2018, an anime convention being held in Los Angeles, USA , Sunrise and Legendary Pictures announced the joint development of a live-action film adaptation of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. The agreement was announced.

LEGENDARY PICTURES has announced that it has signed an agreement with SUNRISE to develop a live-action adaptation of "Pacific Rim," "Dark Knight," "Jurassic World: Kingdom of Fire," and "Godzilla Godzilla."
According to the official Gundam Fan Club Twitter, " The series, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year, will take on the challenge of creating a Gundam with a completely new worldview in a live-action movie.
