Back Street Girls - Gokudolls - Episode 1: The birth of the "Gokudolls," idols who are yakuza on the inside!

A "crazy" idol anime has begun. Three genuine kyokudo men, who have devoted themselves to the kyokudo world, make their debut as idols to make up for the mistakes they have made. However, the point of this work is that they do not become ordinary idols. The three men, who are all men, undergo a sex change and full-body plastic surgery, and debut as cute girl idols.

When I saw the preview, I was skeptical and wondered if it was possible ......, but when I watched the first episode that aired and saw how they made their debut as idols (though the explanation was short (laugh)), I was convinced that it would be a "no-brainer". I was convinced that there was no reason why it would not sell.

The show started with an idol-like opening. The choreography and pictures were cute, and the music was catchy enough to make me want to sing and dance along with the girls. I thought. The opening song "Gokudoru Music" was composed by Masayoshi Oishi, who is also known for providing the music for "Welcome to Japari Park. The first song should grab the hearts of the viewers at once! I am convinced. The idol-like opening song sung by the Gokudorsu rainbow troupe is great, but I would like to hear the Gokudorsu's version of what's inside the song - the "Gokudorsu" version - sometime in the future.

Incidentally, the dancing silhouette in the OP video was done by Chiaki Kon, the director, wearing a wig. He danced three different characters by himself, and took an astonishing 17 takes to complete his masterpiece. One of the interesting aspects of this animation is the gap between the motionless animation of the main story, which is a so-called "picture-story" style production, and the fast and furious action of the opening.

Now, let's move on to the main story. Finally, we come to the main story. The first episode is a visualization of episodes 1 through 5 of the original story. The first episode focuses on the story of how the three "Kyokudo" guys became idols, the appearance of their manager, and the episode with "Kashira," whom they respect. The film reproduces the original story to a high degree, so even those who love the original story will be satisfied! Even if you are not familiar with the original work, the good tempo and the ironclad gags of the crossed and gapped stories make it an easy work to get into, even with its outrageous worldview.

The highlight of the show is the gap between the outside and the inside. A cute girl idol is actually an old man who is a criminal. Even though she is an idol, she drinks directly from a bottle of whiskey, sits with her pants down and her legs open, and smokes cigarettes. ...... Even though you know he is an old man inside, you can't help but laugh at the gap between him and the way he looks.

Inside Iri Yamamoto (CV: Yuzuka Nukui), the legitimate leader of the Gokudors, is Kentaro Yamamoto (CV: Daisuke Ono), the square-cropped, dependable older brother. Inside Mari Tachibana (CV: Kaori Maeda), the cool older sister position, is Ryo Tachibana (CV: Satoshi Hino), a dandy martial artist with an all-back hair. Inside Chika Sugihara (CV: Hikaru Akao), the Gokudors' lovey-dovey, adorable younger sister character, is Kazuhiko Sugihara (CV: Kazuyuki Okitsu), an energetic gunhead with a punch perm.

The scene in which the idol's exterior and the old man's interior appear on screen at the same time and blurt out their feelings is a must-see. Enjoy the collaboration of male & female cast members playing the same character.

The first of the quirky characters, Inukin Gumiho (CV: Fujiwara Keiji), the leader of the Inukin clan and creator of Gokudors, is not half as scary as he seems in the beginning of the film. When the three of them, Boss, Ryo, and Kazu, plead with him for their lives ......, he makes them an outrageous proposal: "You have five seconds to choose! The choices were "become an idol, have your legs cut off, or sell your organs. I can't choose those options," he said! I was tempted to say to myself, "How can I choose? Without even a moment to think, I answered, "I will become an idol! and the next morning, the three of them were sent back to Thailand. They successfully (!?) The sex change and full-body plastic surgery succeeded. After a year of brainwashing and training, they were reborn as the "back alley idols Gokudors.

The one-year period of correction to become idols seemed to be a hellish time. Although the story was presented in a simple way, the training began with brainwashing in which they were locked in a three-mat room and shown 15 hours of idol videos, followed by confinement deep in the mountains, singing training in a waterfall, and waterfall dancing that cut into their sleeping hours. The training period was unimaginable.

The three have become cute idols, but it is their leader, Inukin, who has changed as much as they have. He said, "I'm not your boss! Call me Sensei!" He is also a producer, and when you think of ......, he still retains his bossly nature, giving a high kick to an idol the day before a photo shoot and causing her face to swell up. In a sense, the Inukin gang leader may be a character whose duality can be enjoyed.

Mandarin Kinoshita (Junichi Suwabe), a living legend in the world of managers, also makes an appearance, and from here on out, it looks as if he will go straight to the idol circuit! But it turns out that it was the enthusiastic fans who made the Gokudors a big hit. At a handshake meeting of the Gokudors, their arch-enemy, the wanted gang leader Oguroda arrives and relentlessly pesters Iri with sexually harassing remarks. The vengeful Gokudors take revenge on their adversary! Just when you think, "They made Iri cry!" The fans, mistakenly believing that they have made AiRi cry, beat her to the punch. Fans are strong! The incident was covered in the news. The incident was covered in the news, and Gokudors made their debut on terrestrial TV to avenge their enemy.

Hmmm? Is this the end of the story? but it was a moment of great anticipation for the new start of the idol group "Gokudolls. A yakuza changes his sex and becomes an idol. I feel that there was no need to be concerned about whether such a strange setting would be all right. I was satisfied with the first episode and felt that I did not need to worry about whether such a strange setting would work. I look forward to watching the future of these three as idols and as gangsters.
