No. 1 was "Megalobox," an original anime produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary boxing manga series "Ashita no Joe. The hard-hitting storyline depicting the passionate struggle of men who bet everything on "Megalobox," the ultimate combat sport that fuses the physical body with gear technology, and the high quality of the work itself, gained high popularity among core anime fans and light fans who are bored by "moe anime. In second place, "ESP Shoujo" was the most popular anime among the "moe anime" crowd.

In second place was "Hina Matsuri," which depicts the strange cohabitation of a psychic girl, Hina, and an intellectual yakuza, Nitta. It is a gag comedy depicting how Nitta and the people around him get involved in the commotion caused by the main character, the psychic girl Hina, who works (is made to work?) as a bartender at night despite being a junior high school student. The work is enjoyed by all, with characters more unique than the main character Hina, such as Hitomi Mishima, Hina's classmate, and Anzu, another psychic girl who has come to "dispose" of Hina, as well as snappy gags that will make you laugh, and a humanistic drama that will make you feel warm and fuzzy, It is a work that can be enjoyed by everyone and has attracted votes from a wide range of people.

In third through fifth place were "Comic Galls," a daily life anime about the dormitory life of four high school girls who are manga artists; "Golden Kamui," about the adventures of Saichi Sugimoto, a former army soldier in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji era, and an Ainu girl named Ashi(ri)pa, who is after buried gold in the Ainu archipelago; and "The Rise of Aya Asagiri," about a middle school student who endures bullying and abuse. Aya Asagiri, a junior high school student who endures bullying and abuse, obtains a "stick" with magical powers on the mysterious website "Magical Girl Site" and becomes entangled in an intense destiny together with other "magical girls" in "Magical Girl Site". The sixth to tenth places are occupied by a variety of works based on popular comic books, such as "Magical Girl Sight" and "Magical Girl Sight".

In the 6th through 10th places, original works and "Uma Musume Pretty Derby," which is based on the story of an actual racehorse and includes episodes featuring anthropomorphic horses, were ranked in the top 10.
