Episode 65 "Ryu-oki Comes Just When You Forget About Him

Now, what is the "Ryuoki" in the title? Some may ask. If you have seen this film, you may feel "nostalgic!" you may feel "nostalgic! Yes, he is Tatsuoki Saito, the son of Doso Saito, who ruled Mino and lost his country after being defeated by Nobunaga.

When he was a feudal lord in Mino, Tatsuoki was a plump, ugly man, but after being defeated by Nobunaga, he wandered around the country and was reborn as a beautiful man who looked completely different. Not only had he become a handsome man, but he had also honed his skills as a military commander, and was now a man who could do more than just a simple task. He was indeed the son of Mamushi (Dosan). He is a stubborn man who will not be left to fend for himself.

Tatsuoki, however, was planning to join forces with the three Miyoshi war riors in Awa Province in Shikoku to drive Oda's army into a corner. They built forts in Noda and Fukushima (then a marshy area at the mouth of a river), which is now the center of Osaka Prefecture, and waited for Oda's army here. Oda's army was placing importance on this area as a foothold to the west, and there was no doubt that the two armies would clash in the near future. If this were the case, the Oda forces, which boast overwhelming military power, would likely win a crushing victory.

From the point of view of Honganji, a large-scale military clash in this area close to the head temple was to be avoided. It is highly possible that the Oda forces, riding high, would come close to seizing Hongan-ji as it was. If this were to happen, the Honganji side would have no choice but to cooperate with Tatsuoki and the three Miyoshi clans. It was with this in mind that Tatsuoki dared to build a fortress in this area. Tatsuoki, you have really changed!

Moreover, Tatsuoki hired not only Honganji but also Zoka, famous for their guns, as mercenaries, and put in place a complete system. As Tatsuoki was trying to advance to the capital with this system, Ashikaga Yoshiaki, the shogun of the capital, asked Nobunaga in Gifu to rescue him. Nobunaga then sets out for Noda and Fukushima to defeat Tatsuoki Saito and the three Miyoshi warriors.

Episode 66 "The Trigger is Noda/Fukushima

Oops, I just realized we're entering the second cool season! (Crackle!) The OP has changed too! So, the Oda forces proceed to Noda and Fukushima. Nobunaga asks Hideyoshi's wife, Nene, if she has any message for him, but Nene replies, "I want to see him! I want you to hold me! I want your warmth! Nobunaga, as expected, was not able to give her the message she wanted. Nobunaga thought this was impossible, but apparently, she told Hideyoshi at Yokoyama Castle. Hideyoshi said that although he missed Nene, he had been feeling better recently. That's right, he hasn't eaten that terrible food. ......

After that, during the march, the Oda warriors rallied one after another, with a force of roughly 40,000 men! However, Chidori's (CV: Minase Inori) reaction when he blew on her ear, "Myagya! reaction was " Thank you very much for the food! (laughter).

On August 26, the battle of Noda-Fukushima, which triggered the Battle of Ishiyama, was about to begin. How would Honganji, located only 3 km away, react? To be continued in the next issue!
