The TV anime "Happy Sugar Life" will start airing on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS "Anime-ism" from July 13, 2018, and the first episode scene photos and OP & ED cuts have been released. The comments from Nanaoakari (OP artist), Nora Inu and Buki, who created the OP video, have arrived.

Happy Sugar Life" is a very popular comic by Tomiyaki Kagisora, serialized in the monthly magazine "GANGAN JOKER", which has sold over 700,000 copies. It is a pure love story between the main characters, high school student Matsusaka Satou and Kobe Shio, but it also shows a bizarre side of psycho horror, and the gap between the cute visual and the horror has caused a huge reaction.
The TV anime, scheduled to start airing in July, is directed by Keizo Kusakawa of "Fleet of Armada" and "Kazenatsu," directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama of "My Girlfriend is Too Serious to be True," with series composition by Doko Maita of "DIVE! Ezo'la will be in charge of animation production.

The OP video was created by Nora Inu, an up-and-coming creator who is also involved in the production of Nanao Akari's music videos, and Buki, who is a hot topic on the Internet.

The ED song "SWEETHURT" by ReoNa, a singer who is rapidly gaining popularity, will be unveiled in the first episode of MBS/TBS on July 13 (Fri.) from 26:15, and the ED cut depicting Satou and Shio walking under the night sky together was also revealed. The ED cut, which depicts Sato and Shio walking under the night sky in a friendly atmosphere, has also been released.

Nanao Akari

I think you can enjoy the contrast between sweet and bitter, which is the best part of "Happy Sugar Life".
It is a very important song because it is not only the story of Satouchi and Shio, but also the story of "me" who started singing in a small live house (=one room) and "you" who listened to the song.
The animation version of the song has a different poetry part from the usual version!

Nora Inu

I was given the opportunity tocreate an OP video for my favorite work "Happy Sugar Life" and a song by my favorite artist, Nanawoakari!
I worked with Buki and filled it with lots of love so that I could bring out the cuteness of Satou-chan and Shio-chan as much as possible.
It was my first time to produce an OP for a TV anime, and I was very nervous, but with the advice of the director-in-chief Kusakawa and director Nagayama, I thinkwe were able to produce an OP filled with love!
Anyway, love!　I think "Happy Sugar Life" is filled with various forms of love. I hope you enjoy it!
