Interview] A tour de force that pays attention to every detail! JUNNA has released their 2nd single "Red, the flower of despair. JUNNA's 2nd single "Red, Flower of Despair.

In spring 2018, JUNNA successfully led their second live tour "JUNNA ROCK YOU TOUR 2018 ~I'm Here~", selling out all the shows. It is the ED theme song for the TV anime "Lord of Vermillion: King of the Red Lotus" and has already been aired on-air. The song was written, composed, arranged, and released in Japan. The song was written, composed, arranged, and performed by la la larks, and JUNNA gave it her all to create a pop song that is at the same time difficult to understand.

For my second live tour, I felt that it was okay to let my voice wither.

─ ─ From April 15 to May 5, "JUNNA ROCK YOU TOUR 2018 ~I'm Here~" was held in four cities across Japan. First of all, please tell us about this tour.

JUNNA It feels like it's been a long time ago, but the venues are bigger than the last tour, and I think we were able to make a more powerful live performance. The last day was at my hometown Zepp Nagoya. Before my debut, I had performed on stage at a vocal school presentation. During the concert, I was reminded of that time, and it made me nostalgic.

JUNNA──You had Valkyrie songs in your setlist, but you also sang "Teary-eyed Explosion Sound" with Kaname as the main vocalist on this tour, didn't you?

JUNNA Yes. It was a song by Kaname, Reina, and Makina, and Freya had sung it with the three of them in "Macross Delta the Movie: Gekijo no Valkyrie," so I, as Migun, was the only one who had never sung it. I had always wanted to sing it, and I thought it would make a big impact if we sang it as the first encore. We did the choreography as Valkyrie did, and it was a lot of fun.

─ ─ It is rare for the audience, and the song is loud, so I am sure they will be excited. We also did a cover of RC Succession's "Slow Ballad".

JUNNA "Slow Ballad" is a memorable song that I sang for the first time in front of the Macross director Kawamori, and I wanted to do it at a live performance someday. When I talked to the producer about it, he said, "If you do it as a soloist, the song will reach more people," and I said, "Well, I'll do my best. I sang this song as an encore, but it was the first time for me to perform alone, so I was very nervous on the first day.

─ ─ I don't think this song is very familiar to your fans, so you must be worried about their reaction when you sing it for the first time.

JUNNA I myself first heard the song when Superfly covered it and thought it was cool. I think there were many audience members who did not know the song, but I could see that they accepted my song, and I felt that my feelings were conveyed to them.

─ ─ Another surprise performance was "My Own Map ~Shooting Star~", which is also included in this CD.

JUNNA The first verse was sung in English as before, making the audience think it was the usual "Shooting Star," but from the second verse, the lyrics were sung in Japanese. Since it was a quiet song, there were no big reactions, but I could see the audience's "aha" faces while they were grooving to the song, and I thought they understood that we were performing the version with Japanese lyrics for the first time at the concert.

─ ─ All the shows were sold out, and I think the audience who came to the venue enjoyed the live performance.

JUNNA I would be happy if my songs reached everyone.
