A. I just came back from Russia, and I was so happy to hear that I was chosen as an official supporter of Butchiri Match.

A. To be honest, I was really surprised when I received this offer right after I came back from Russia. I had loved Dragon Ball since I was a child, and I never expected to be able to participate in this way. I did it for the team, and I'm glad I chose to wear my hair blonde, which I'm not used to (laughs). I would like to thank you all for your support.

Please tell us about the appeal of Butchgiri Match.

A. I think it is the strategic nature of the game. It is interesting to think about our strategy while predicting the opponent's hand, because it is very similar to soccer.

Which way will the opponent play, right or left? It's like a penalty shootout, but with more tension.
Also, as a Dragon Ball fan, I can't get enough of the card presentation. When Goku is released after Krillin is killed, he becomes a Super Saiyan, or when the Ginyu Special Squadron is released first, Ginyu becomes very strong.

A.Well, yes.

A. Well, I would say Goku! I would like to say "Goku," but I guess I would have to say Krillin (laughs)!　As a representative of the people of Earth, I will continue to fight against the strongest people in the world.

─ ─ What kind of people would you like to see playing Butchigiri Match?

A. People who like Dragon Ball, of course. Even if you haven't downloaded the game, you can play it right away, so I hope you can have a lot of fun with your friends. If you are a competitive player like me, I would like you to try it. The way to build a deck and choose cards is very deep, and once you get into it, you won't be able to get out of it. By the way, I don't have a DEFENDER in my deck (laughs), I rely on SUPPORTER all the time.

─ Which is your favorite scene in Dragon Ball?

A. There are too many to choose from (laughs). (laugh). It made me think again about the existence of irreplaceable friends. In soccer, I am able to do my best because I have friends to fight with. Dragon Ball taught me the importance of friends.

─ Did you watch the animated TV series Dragon Ball?

A. I have been watching Dragon Ball ever since I can remember!　As well as TV, I also read the manga, and I looked forward to the release date of Weekly Shonen Jump, which was serialized at the time, every week with great anticipation. In that sense, I was truly living my boyhood with excitement for soccer and Dragon Ball.
