The last run toward the breakup! FINAL TOUR - HOME -" Ichihara City Civic Hall, Chiba Prefecture: Lunchtime Report

On July 14, 2018, the voice-over unit "Wake Up, Girls!" (hereinafter referred to as WUG) launched its last tour, "Wake Up, Girls! FINAL TOUR - HOME -", starting at the Ichihara Civic Hall Large Hall in Chiba Prefecture.

The tour opened amidst great attention since the unit announced on June 15 that it would disband in March 2019, but to sum up, the performance of WUG, which was the best ever, took the audience by surprise.

There was singing, dancing, stage direction, and for the first time in WUG's one-man tour, a reading performance! The performance was as perfect as ever, and the girls showed a high level of perfection. I couldn't help but feel the enthusiasm of the seven members for their final tour.

Yes, whether we cry or laugh, WUG will be disbanded when this tour is over. I would like to report on the noon performance, the start of their last run.

The live show started with a flashy performance!

As the lights dimmed in the packed venue, joyful music and narration were heard. The silhouettes of the WUG members were projected on the carpet that covered the stage! The best entertainer show was about to start! The floor was filled with such a sense of anticipation and the excitement was so great that the floor was bursting with excitement.

The live show was about to start in full swing. The highlight of the show was the screen set up all over the stage. Sometimes it showed the glittering city at night, and sometimes it depicted a fantastic space. It seemed as if WUG was performing in various places for each song.

From the beginning of the live, "Love? and love? and "I'm a tyrant! and "Subway Labyrinth. The seven members suddenly got off the stage and sang and danced among the audience seats, and Nozono Aoyama shot a machine gun at the floor (in a choreographed manner), involving the whole venue in the live. In response, the calls of the WUGners (meaning fans) were even more powerful than usual!

In the first MC, Mr. Takagi said, "I want to make this the best day with smiles on our faces," which must have been the wish of all WUG members. The WUGner firmly accepted this, and literally united as one to start the live.

One of the surprises of this event was the cover of popular songs by rival idol unit I-1club, such as "Kimi to Progress" and "Shirt and Blouse". The I-1club cast performed "Kimi to Progress" with the air of a champion at "Wake Up, Girls! Festa. 2017 TRINITY," but WUG sang it with fresh charm. The audience cheered loudly to this rare cover performance, which also brought out a new charm of the song.

The tour is said to present a different stage at each venue, so we can expect more surprise performances and setlists like this in the future. We are very much looking forward to it.

For the first time at a WUG live! The members challenged the audience to a reading performance!

The middle part of the live was the usual solo medley zone.

In this zone, which started with "Pride" by Kaya Okuno, who sang a slightly mature and danceable song, each member presented their own unique stage performance.

The highlight of the show was Takagi's performance. The reggae-style rhythm of "Shalila! ", which started with a reggae-style rhythm, he sang enthusiastically while waving his tour towel around! Perhaps it was because he is from his hometown, but he was even more energetic and bouncy than usual, which was impressive.

Then, in "Seventeen Crisis," Misuke Takagi, Maasuke Yoshioka, Airi Nagano, Nanami Yamashita, and Kaya Okuno stirred up the audience with an upper dance beat. The floor sang and shouted along with the members on stage as they roared to the groovy sound.

Here comes the next surprise. During this tour, a reading of the anime "Wake Up, Girls! This was the first time for the WUG members, who are both artists and voice actors, to attempt this. As the screen showed "Episode 1," it is likely that new episodes will be presented at each venue in the future. This time, the episode depicted the decision of the name of the shared house where the members lived together in the "new chapter".

It has been a long time since the "New Chapter" of the anime finished airing, but I am sure that I was not the only one who was reminded of how the girls must be doing their best in the Tohoku region, as the reading play depicted the daily lives of the characters. I couldn't help but smile at the reunion after such a long time.

Toward the end of the live, the band performed "Agape for a 16-Year-Old," "Wag Zoo Zoo," and "Gokujo Smile," which are popular songs at their live performances. As the setlist progressed, the members' movements and expressions became more and more brilliant. It was interesting not only to listen to the songs, but also to follow the members' every move.

The two-top pairing of Maasuke Yoshioka and Aoyama was especially rewarding. The different tones of their vocals were sometimes competing with each other, and sometimes blended together to bring depth to the songs.

Mimi Tanaka's innocent expression and actions were also a sight to behold. The way she happily joked around with the other members was truly "Minyami!

The last song of the show was "Polaris" from the final episode of the anime "Wake Up, Girls! The song was written by the members themselves and was a perfect ending to the show, as it was also a reflection of their love for the Tohoku region where the anime takes place.

Happy Birthday Nanamin! The surprise birthday cake was a big hit!

For encore, Nanamin performed tie-up songs such as "One In A Billion" and "Bokura no Frontier. Airi Nagano's presence was especially strong with her sharp dance moves. Her imposing body language and graceful gestures caught the audience's attention.

With only one song left to perform, there was one last surprise.

A birthday cake was presented to Nanami Yamashita, who turns 23 on July 19. Yamashita was surprised by the cake suddenly appearing on stage and the chorus of "Happy Birthday" by the members and WUGners (when Aoyama-san led the birthday song, she thought "You started something again, ......" as if she was a stranger. I heard that). The audience cheered and applauded as she spoke of her enthusiasm for the tour that will continue until next March, and her aspirations for her voice acting activities that will continue after that.

The finale of the first day of the tour was "7Senses," the OP theme song of the anime "Wake Up, Girls! The show came to an end with great excitement.

The show lasted a little over two hours. During the MC, Ms. Tanaka said, "We have been rehearsing intensively," and as this was the last tour, she must have been working on the stage more carefully than ever before.

At the same time, I could feel the enthusiasm of the WUGners more than at previous shows.

Let's run through to the end together!

I am sure that I was not the only one who felt such a strong will from WUG and WUGners. And this last run will surely reach a wonderful goal.

It was the best start-up that I could not help but feel such confidence.
