The legendary comic "DRAGON BALL" has been serialized in the weekly "Shonen Jump" magazine for a decade and a half since 1984, and boasts an extraordinary popularity not only in Japan but around the world through TV animation, games, cards, and other forms. In 2013, the movie version of the series was revived for the first time in 17 years, followed by "Dragon Ball Z: Gods and Goddesses" and "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F", both of which were huge hits.
In 2015, a new TV series, "Dragon Ball Super," based on the original story by Akira Toriyama, began. The super scaled-up and unconventional development depicting Goku and his friends after their battle with Majin Buu has captured the hearts of a wide range of fans, from adults who have been obsessed with the series in the past to children who are experiencing "Dragon Ball" for the first time. After a climax that no one could have predicted, "Dragon Ball Super," which ended with great enthusiasm and regret, will return this winter as the first theatrical version of the series.
In the "Dragon Ball Super Broly" movie, which marks the 20th theatrical version of the series, Mr. Toriyama will once again write the script and weave a story beyond the "Super" that came to a grand conclusion.

The teaser video, poster visual, and the appearance of the "Legendary Super Saiyan" Broly have already been released as the 20th "Dragon Ball" movie, and the film has become the talk of the town not only in Japan but also around the world. The film, which has been attracting worldwide attention, participated in a panel discussion at Comic-Con International: San Diego (a.k.a. San Diego Comic-Con), held in San Diego, the birthplace of Comic-Con, the largest comic book event run by Comic-Con International. Hall H, one of the event's largest venues and where Marvel Studios, DC, and others presented their latest movie information in 2017, was the center of attention in previous years, and fans were treated to a world premiere trailer screening in front of an audience of approximately 6,500 people!

As soon as the doors to Hall H opened, the event was filled with the excitement of many Dragon Ball fans, including Akio Ino, Director of the Dragon Ball Office at Shueisha from Japan, Shihiro Hayashida from Toei Animation, producer of the film, and voice actors for the English version of the Dragon Ball series, Son Goku: Sean Schmell as Son Goku, Christopher Sabato as Vegeta, and celebrity guests Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, and Broly, all big Dragon Ball fans!

In his first introduction, Sabato, the voice actor for the American version of Vegeta, said, "I heard about the Comic-Con panel two months ago, but I never envisioned that I would be able to do it in such a big place! It's fantastic!" Schmell commented, "I'm so excited, it's bigger than anything I've ever experienced before. Ino, a guest from Japan, said, "I'm so excited, I'm going to talk a lot on behalf of Mr. Toriyama! Producer Hayashida said, "I've brought some special information for you, so please look forward to it! Hayashida, the producer of the event, said, "I have some special information for you, so please look forward to it!

The audience was filled with excitement, and when asked by the MC if he could imagine standing on this stage when he was first recording Dragon Ball, Schmel replied, "I can't imagine Dragon Ball fans gathering in such a big venue. I would like to express my gratitude to our Japanese partners Toei, Shueisha, Bandai, and especially Mr. Toriyama for this unique opportunity to see Dragon Ball fans gathered in such a large venue! He then suddenly called out in English, "Give me your energy! and the audience stood up to collect their gratitude with a performance of "Genki Dama" (ball of energy), which excited the audience!

Sabato, who plays Vegeta, said, "It's frustrating because Vegeta is a character who doesn't want to do Genki-dama. I'm going to train hard before the next panel and try to do a more amazing Genkidama than Schmel at the next panel." The excitement of the event reached a climax with comments expressing his frustration!

Kofi Kingston and Zack Ryder from WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) appeared as special guests!
The two are also big Dragon Ball fans, and when asked about their favorite parts of the Dragon Ball series and what impressed them the most, Kofi replied, "Goku's body is what we should all strive for. This guy seriously pushes himself to the limit. Even if he dies, he comes back to life and keeps fighting. I think this is a message, and I believe that each person has a different life and wants to be this way or that way, but as long as you can keep fighting, this is not just a cartoon, this is a real benchmark for living. Goku's way of life is definitely a kind of guideline for me. Zack added, "Even in WWE, Dragon Ball has become a legacy, and they even incorporate Dragon Ball action! That's exactly what Kofi is doing! I also use that throwing technique.

Then Broly, the title character of the movie, made an additional appearance! The audience was truly excited.

In the middle of the event, Akira Toriyama made a comment in his own handwriting: "It's not only about the battle with Broly, but also about the history of Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and the Frieza Army, and it's a story on a large scale. I think we were able to add various elements to the story that fans can look forward to. The American version of Son Goku: Sean read out the story, and the audience was very excited.

At the end of the event, the world's first trailer was unveiled as a surprise! +After the trailer was unveiled, Mr. Ino said, "As Mr. Toriyama mentioned in his comments, there are many elements that everyone expects to see in this movie. We tried to pack more and more into the script with Mr. Toriyama, and we ended up with a lot (laughs), but I think we were able to create something that everyone in the world will enjoy! Producer Hayashida commented, "The characters and backgrounds have been redesigned to be more similar to Mr. Toriyama's original work and to have a more modern look! Also, Vegeta, the red-haired Super Saiyan God who was designed by Toriyama-sensei, will make his first appearance! Each of them made a series of comments to American Dragon Ball fans about their thoughts on the film and how they hope it will raise fans' expectations!

The panel ended with the fans and the audience in a frenzy of excitement over the latest footage of the movie, which was delivered earlier than anywhere else in the world.

After the panel, many fans commented enthusiastically about the panel and the event was a great success :
