eSports tournament "Puyo Puyo Championship" announces August 2018 contestants & how to watch! Public Viewing will also be held!
Sega Games has released new information about the "PuyoPuyo Championship," a professional e-sports tournament to be held at Asakusabashi Hulic Hall (Taito-ku, Tokyo) on August 18, 2018 (Saturday) at 7:00 p.m., including the competitors, how to watch the tournament, and public viewing.
The "PuyoPuyo Championship" is an e-sports professional tournament for "PuyoPuyo" series players who have obtained Japan eSports Pro License. This is a professional tournament for players with Japan eSports Pro Licenses, and the winner will be awarded 300,000 yen*. The tournament will be broadcast live on Nico Nico Live, YouTube Live, and Periscope. For the streaming address of the live Internet streaming, please wait for further information.
A public viewing event with limited-edition goods will also be held at MOVIX Amagasaki, a movie theater in Hyogo Prefecture! In addition to enjoying the live broadcast from the tournament site on the big screen of the movie theater, "Puyopuyo Championship" luxury limited edition goods such as cheering megaphones and original can badges will be given away. If you live in the Kansai area, why don't you send your cheers to the players from the movie theaters?
(*) No prize money will be awarded to players who have obtained the "Japan eSports Junior License," which is for players who are between 13 and 15 years old and have not completed compulsory education.
