Shun Oguri, who plays the main character Gintoki Sakata, and Masaki Sugata, who plays Shinpachi Shimura, who works with Gintoki at the Bankotsuya, visited Atsuta Jingu Shrine in Nagoya to pray for good luck.Atsuta Jingu Shrine is dedicated to the goddess Amaterasu, and is a highly prestigious shrine where Nobunaga Oda prayed for victory in the "Battle of Okehazama" and won the battle.
In order to make a blockbuster hit that surpasses the previous "Gintama," which was the No. 1 live-action Japanese film last year, the usual "liveliness" of "Gintama" was temporarily suspended and the "victory" prayer was held in earnest at this sacred and "victory" ideal location. The audience prayed earnestly for the film.

After praying, Oguri said, "Two years ago, I prayed for the movie "Nobunaga Kyousogoto" and that movie was a big hit, so I'm sure it will bring me good luck! Sugata said, "This was my first visit to Atsuta Shrine, and it was very pleasant. I came here to pray for a big hit for the movie, but I felt as if my own possessions had fallen away," commented Sugata, looking refreshed after breathing the sacred air of Atsuta Shrine.

During the visit to the shrine, Oguri and Sugata tried their hand at fortune-telling, and to their surprise, they both drew the same number of "hankichi," which means "half good luck! Both of them said, "What? The same? Really? They were so close to each other, even down to the fortune. Sugata commented excitedly, "I hope this is a sign from the gods! Sugata commented excitedly, "I hope it's God's guidance! He was also surprised at the "half lucky" result, which is also rare and unique to Atsuta Shrine.

He continued, "I think we were able to further boost the enthusiasm on the set that we inherited from the first film. I spent the entire filming feeling that we were creating something good, so I hope that this has been realized as a movie." Oguri revealed how he feels now that less than a month has passed before the release of the film, and Sugata said, "I think it's Gintama to be cool when you're cool! I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of people who can do action in this movie like Haruma (Miura) and Masataka (Kubota), who are guests in this movie," he said, expressing his expectations for the soon-to-be-completed movie.

While there are many big movies coming out, including this one," said Oguri, "I think I'm doing the stupidest thing among all the movies that have been released recently, so that's the strength of this movie! Sugata said, "At the launch (of the previous film), the producer said, "It's not that we made an entertaining film, but that we made a tremendous performance." He said, "It's not so much that we made an entertaining movie, but that we made a tremendous show. This time, too, "Gintama" is filled with diversity and entertainment, and I think we have created something truly interesting as a showcase.

After praying for a big hit, they decided to write an ema (votive tablet) with even more enthusiasm.
Oguri wished "May everyone be in good health," and Sugata wished for "Gintama to be a big hit! Sugata wished, "Gintama hit! Sugata wished, "Gintama hit hit! Sugata immediately answered, "I want to go to Hawaii with everyone! Sugata immediately replied, "I want to go to Hawaii with everyone! Oguri agreed with Hawaii, but added, "If it becomes a big hit, I'd be grateful if we all get bonuses (laughs). Sugata agreed, "That would be great...please..." (laugh)! (laugh).

Finally, Oguri said, "I think Part 2 will not disappoint you, so whether you enjoyed Part 1 or are thinking about watching it, I hope you will see it in a cool movie theater because it will be very hot this summer! Sugata added, "Whether you like the original or are unfamiliar with Gintama, I think this movie will be an entertaining "super show" that will make you laugh and cry, so please come see it as if you were at a school festival! Please come and see the film as if you were going to a cultural festival!

If you ask God for this much, you will be fine! The "Battle of the Summer Movies" is sure to be a crowded battle, andthe victory will surely be celebrated with a loud roar!
Stay tuned for more news! In the last summer of the Heisei era, "Gintama 2: It's for Breaking the Code" will make you laugh more, cry more, and get hotter!
