Comic Market 94 (C94), the world's largest otaku festival, is now underway at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo, from August 10 (Fri.) to 12 (Sun.), 2018.

Comic Market, commonly known as Comiket, is the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition held twice a year in August and December. Cosplayers dressed in costumes of various characters from anime, games, comics, and other genres are a spectacular part of Comiket.

The second day of the event was blessed with fine weather. The sun was shining brightly and the temperature in the garden area was close to 40 degrees Celsius before noon, and warnings were often given to the public to avoid heat stroke and heatstroke.
Many people moved to the disaster prevention park for the second day's cosplay area. The rooftop plaza, which opened from the second day on the 11th, was packed with people, but there was plenty of room to walk around, and the garden area was not too crowded except for a few busy aisles. All areas, including the truck yards in the East Hall, were crowded to varying degrees, but this time it was an easy environment for photographing.

In terms of genres, we saw an increase in the number of VTuber types. Among them, Kizuna Ai was the most popular and could be said to be seen frequently in the venue. Also, "Hataraku Cell," a summer anime currently being broadcast, had many cosplayers dressed as red blood cells and platelets, which seemed to be popular with both men and women alike. In addition, the popularity of idol groups such as "Idolmaster" and "Love Live" was as strong as ever.
