Nobunaga no Shinobi" is a short anime based on a four-frame manga of the same name (created by Naoki Shigeno) serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha), and it has many hidden fans due to its excellent performance as a gag anime about the Warring States period, The third season will finally depict the "Battle of Anegawa" and the "Battle of Ishiyama," two of the most important battles on Nobunaga's road to unifying the country. If you are a history fan, you absolutely have to watch it! It is a must-see for history fans.

In episodes 69 to 70 introduced here, the siege of Nobunaga triggered by the "Battle of Ishiyama" is finally launched. The Asai-Asakura allied forces, the spearhead of the siege, are once again closing in behind the Oda forces! What will happen to the Oda family?

Episode 69 "The General Strikes Back

The Oda forces were quickly outnumbered by attacks from the Honganji forces and the Zoga-shu who sided with them. Perhaps thinking that they were in trouble, Hisahide Matsunaga, the master of treachery, offered to Nobunaga to make peace with Hongan-ji. However, the Honganji side refused. The reason why the Honganji side refused so easily was because Kennyo Honganji had already prepared a certain plan. It was the "Nobunaga Siege.

Although Nobunaga was on the verge of becoming a great ruler, he was surrounded by enemies all the time. To the east, although his ally Tokugawa Ieyasu was protecting him, Takeda Shingen of Kai was showing disturbing movements, and to the north, although they had just fought a battle and defeated him, Asakura and his ally Asai Nagamasa, who were still in power in Echizen, were waiting in the wings. Behind them is Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo, and the Mori and other warring feudal lords are still strong in the western part of the country. While the main force of Oda's army was pinned down in the attack on Ishiyama, its rear was empty. The siege of Nobunaga was planned by Kennyo Honganji to attack the Oda forces at once and surround and exterminate them. What a scheming man! It would be a waste to leave him as a monk! (Laughter)

Thus, Kennyo took the opportunity of this battle to send a proclamation to the lords, and among them, the Asai-Asakura coalition, which had suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Oda's forces the previous year, was the first to respond. The Asakura family in Echizen, which had been particularly troubled by the Ikkyu revolts in Japan, was relieved of its worries by having Kennyo, the leader of the Ikkyu sect, suppress the revolts, and could confront the Oda forces with all its might. Under such circumstances, Yoshikage Asakura himself finally decided to run for the general command. His goal was the capital. If he could defeat the Oda forces in Kyoto, he would be able to trap the main forces of the Oda clan between the Honganji forces and the Oda forces.

Of course, Nagamasa Asai, who had suffered a crushing defeat in the "Battle of Anegawa," also stood up to make amends to Nobunaga. Needless to say, his wife Oichi is Nobunaga's younger sister, but she no longer considers him her brother. However, he says that she is a "strict but compassionate, kind, and sisterly stranger," a strong black lover indeed.

Nobunaga, on the other hand, realizes Kennyo's ruse and hurriedly sends Chidori to Usayama Castle, which protects the capital. If Asai Asakura's army attacked the now empty capital, there would be no way to stop them. However, Usayama Castle, which guarded the entrance to Kyoto, was defended only by Yoshinari Mori with a force of only a thousand men.

At Usayama Castle, Mori Kanari watched over the approaching 30,000 troops of the Asai and Asakura armies.

Synopsis:
Oda's army was quickly put at a disadvantage by the onslaught of the Honganji and Zoga forces. On the advice of Hisahide Matsunaga, Nobunaga tried to negotiate a peace, but Kennyo refused. Nobunaga, who is aware that Kyo is being targeted by Kennyo's aggressive attitude, realizes that there are other ways to win the war!

Episode 70 "The Absolute Deadly Domain

Known as "Sanza the Aggressor," Mori Kasei was a master spearman. He was the father of Ranmaru Mori, Nobunaga's later famous minor retainer. Kasei set out with only 1,000 men to face the 30,000-strong Asai Asakura army. The battle was not a fair one, but Kanari's lion-hearted fighting forced the 30,000 strong Asai Asakura forces to retreat for a time. As expected of the offensive Misasa.

Chidori and Sukeso arrived there. They were relieved that Kanari was safe for the time being, but the next day, Asai Asakura's forces would attack again. If that happened, they would not be safe this time. Kanari ordered Nobunaga to "report a great victory" in order to let Chidori go, but Chidori, sensing his presence, did not return and said he would fight with him. If I'm ready to die, I'm already prepared to die! He says, "You idiot! Don't talk to me like a samurai!" Kanari tries to slap her with a slap (but they exchange blows).

You are a Shinobi, aren't you? Isn't the true duty of a ninja to 'live'?"

There it is. It's a great quote. It will be on the test later, so make sure you memorize it.

What you should be helping is Nobunaga-sama fighting in Settsu Province!

Chidori is overwhelmed by Kasei's bravado. Oh, it's a nice scene. It makes me feel a little bit teary.

Then, at least, Chidori wants him to fight in a castle. However, if she did so, the roads would be empty and Asai Asakura's army would rush into Kyoto at once. Kanari refused to do so.

At that time, news comes that Asai Asakura's army has started another invasion!

Synopsis
Mori Kanari, the lord of Usayama Castle, is to meet the 30,000 troops of Asai and Asakura who are aiming for Kyoto with only 1,000 men. For the sake of the prestige of the Oda family, Kanari, who could not afford to lose the capital where the emperor and shogun resided, drove the enemy back despite the overwhelming odds!
