What is the winner of the battle among a wide variety of works? The results of the "2020 Autumn Anime Popularity Poll" were announced!

Looking at these results, there was a mixture of various types of works, which seems to reflect the state of this fall's anime lineup as it is. In such a fierce battle, "Moriarty" came in first place, hands down.

Moriarty" is an anime adaptation of a popular manga serialized in Shueisha's "JUMP SQ." Set in England at the end of the 19th century, it is a crime suspense series featuring the "crime lord" Moriarty, who appears as a favorite opponent of Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective. The animation was produced by Production I. Production I.G is in charge of the animation production, and the staff is also gorgeous, with Taku Kishimoto's name in the series composition. The beautiful young protagonist, William James Moriarty, is voiced by Souma Saito.

The next two entries were all very close, with a fairly small difference in the number of votes. Originally based on a self-published novel of the same title by Sadaki Shiraishi on kindle in 2014, this work has a unique history as it was later adapted into a light novel (GA novel) with additions and revisions and gained popularity. The story follows the encounters and partings of the witch Irena as she continues her journey and the various people she meets along the way. The series is composed by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, and the animation is produced by C2C, which also produced "Harukana Receive" and "Boss, It's Time for Battle! and "President, It's Time for Battle!

In third place, only three votes behind the second-place finisher, "Witches' Journey," was the sequel to the popular "HIQUE! TO THE TOP (2nd season)", a sequel to the popular "HIQUE! The animation was produced by MAPPA, which has produced a number of high-profile works in recent years, and features performances by such splendid voice actors as Junya Enoki, Yuma Uchida, Masami Seto, Mikako Komatsu, Koki Uchiyama, Tomokazu Seki, Kenjiro Tsuda, Yuichi Nakamura, and Junichi Suwabe.

The next two works ranked in a tie for fifth place. Both of them are military games in which beautiful girls are active. Sigurdriva: The Wings of War" is a completely original anime work by A-1 Pictures. Tatsuhei Nagatsuki of "Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu" fame is in charge of the series composition and script, and Takuya Fujima of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid" fame is in charge of character design. On the other hand, "It's Wrong to Seek Encounters in Dungeons III" is the latest title in the popular "Danmachi" anime series. The interaction between the protagonist Belle Crannell, who continues to grow as an adventurer, and the goddess Hestia, who supports Belle behind her back, has become legendary. This time, too, various adventures unfold with the two of them at the center!

The top 10 most popular works from the poll results have been reviewed briefly, but there is a wide variety of works, from sequels to popular works, to new works based on popular comics and novels, to completely original works. While there are no overwhelmingly popular works, there are many good works that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace in the fall anime of 2020.
