─ Character song collection "FULL OF LOVE! What was the impetus behind the creation of "FULL OF LOVE!

Nakajima Last year, on my birthday, June 5, I released "30 pieces of love", the best album of Ai Nakajima, but I didn't include my debut work "Interstellar Flight" in it. We had been talking since then about making an album of only character songs. Around the end of last year, we started to take a concrete shape and chose the songs to be included: "30 pieces of love," a compilation of my activities as an artist over the past 10 years, and "FULL OF LOVE! . Both are my own best-of albums, so I included the word "LOVE" in the title again.

Nakajima: This is a compilation of 17 character songs, including "Interstellar Flight," plus one new song.

Nakajima: This album is filled with love for the works and the characters. The songs are basically arranged in the order in which the anime aired, but for "Macross F," I put the TV series and the movie version together and put them first.

───There are a total of five songs from "Macross F" that you sang as Lanca Lee = Ai Nakajima.

Nakajima: There are many songs in the name of Lanka Lee = Ai Nakajima, and since this is my debut work, I had to include more. Even so, I had to be very selective. I chose mainly songs that occupied an important position in the work.

─ The first song is "Aimo" and the second is "Interstellar Flight," which reminded me of Ranka in the first half of the TV series.

Nakajima: "Aimo" was the first song Lanka sang, so I knew I wanted to start the album with this song. I thought it would be nice to start the character song album with a cappella.

─ The second song is "Interstellar Flight," which was Ranka's debut song in the movie, and the third song is "Lion," which is still very popular in karaoke.

Nakajima "Lion" was the opening theme song for the second season of the TV series, and was a duet with May'n (Sheryl Nome starring May'n), but this time we included Ranka's version. This version was only included on the 8cm single that came with the first pressing of our first album "I love you" released exactly 10 years ago.

─ In other words, it is a rare track.

Nakajima Yes, it is. Even in my home environment, I couldn't easily listen to the 8cm CD (laughs). (Laughs) Since this version has not been distributed, I wanted to include it here.

─ The fourth track "Houkago Overflow" and the fifth track "Hoshikira" are songs from the movie version.

Nakajima: "Houkago Overflow" left a strong impression on me because of the confession scene. Hoshikira" was used in the important ending of the movie, and it became a song that I sang in my live performances. Many of Ranca's songs are slow songs, but I think this ballad symbolizes the character of the band.
