The power of RAS to cut through even thunderclouds──"BanG Dream! 8th☆LIVE" Summer Outdoor 3DAYS:DAY2 RAISE A SUILEN "THE DEPTHS" Report

BanG Dream! 8th☆Live" outdoor summer 3DAYS DAYS DAY2: RAISE A SUILEN "THE DEPTHS" was held at Fujikyu Highland Conifer Forest on August 22, 2020.

Following Roselia in DAY 1, RAISE A SUILEN (Ba.&Vo. Raychell, Gt. Riko Obara, Dr. Natsume, Key Reiho Kurachi, DJ Boki Risa) was the main act of DAY 2. DJ unit "Happy Around!" from "D4DJ" appeared as the opening act.

The weather forecast for DAY 2 predicted thunderstorms, and on the day of the event, a thunderstorm warning was issued and several thunderclouds were observed around Mt. The bridge leading to the venue, Conifer Forest, was closed, and thunder rumbled mercilessly in the area. ...... However, it is not enough to say that the weather in the mountains is changeable. By the time the show was to begin, the rain had subsided and even the setting sun appeared, as if by magic. Once the curtain went up, RAISE A SUILEN had no enemies.

Mr. Raychell gave a few words of caution in advance of DAY 2. Happy Around!" appeared as the opening act and performed a medley of well-known cover songs such as "Love Revolution 21" and "Moonlight Legend. The stage was filled with "Happy" as Kari Kagami showed off her technique of connecting medleys in the DJ booth and Haruka Mimura showed off her cute dance moves at the front of the stage. Bandolier! cast members Yuka Nishio and Kanaon Shizaki also wowed the audience with their performance as "Happiara," and it was interesting to see the differences in expression between the different characters.

RAISE A SUILEN's stage began with "Invincible Fighter" blazing with the sound of fireworks. The dynamic performance by Kurachi, who played the keyboard with a light dance step and one hand as if sucking on it, and Obara, who kept the rhythm as if stretching out on her knees while keeping her torso steady, was impressive. The way Raychell's vocals shifted from power to whisper in the chorus was exquisite.

The chorus of "RAISE YOUR HANDS, NOW!" was stirred up by Ms. Raychell, and the song "A DECLARATION OF ××××" began. Natsume, who was smiling happily during the introduction, went into battle mode the moment she started playing the drums. Boki's rap raged wildly on "SOUL SOLDIER. Ms. Obara played delicate phrases with one foot raised over the speaker, accentuating the gap between her elegant costume and her mannerisms.

As the stage lit up in rainbow colors, Ms. Bohki stirred up the members' solo playing with her flowing MC. Raychell showed his overwhelming ability as a bassist and went straight into "UNSTOPPABLE. Kurachi spread his hands out like wings flapping in the air, and then performed a double back-flip while bending over in a spectacular move.

or HELL?", a special effect of a pillar of fire erupted, and the area around the stage was like a flaming hell. The visual effects were a graphic representation of Mr. Boki's soulful rapping and aggressive lyrics.

The middle part of the live started with "Beautiful Birthday. The melodious melody and Raychell's powerful vocals, centered on the clear high notes played by Kurachi, competed with each other. The screen showed an animated version of RAS standing at the Budokan, and I was impressed by the way Raychell and Obara looked at each other as if synchronized with the layers on the screen and Rokka's appearance.

What was visible in "Takin' my Heart" was the emotion of each member, which was expressed in the chorus and even in the smallest details of their gestures. Raychell's vocals, which gave an overwhelming sense of power to even the most emotional songs, were compelling. The most impressive part of the performance was Natsume's expression while she was performing, as if she was acting not only with sound but also with her whole body. The members of RAS have also performed on the stage in "We are RAISE A SUILEN~BanG Dream! The introduction of "Gekido" was arranged to highlight the magnificent melody of the keyboards. The combination of Boki's aggressive rap and Raychell's majestic vocals is interesting.

The first cover of "Koishisato, Setsurena sa sa Kokkyo koto to" brought out Ms. Raychell's spontaneous and gentle high tone, which was only possible with a cover song. The chorus of the song was full of emotion and power, and the balance between the two was excellent. When "Departures" followed, it was as if the winds of the '90s blew in this time. The vocals were a bit husky and piercing, and the drums hit you right in the gut. The impressive rap part was of course handled by Ms. Bohki, who sublimated it into her original expression, which seemed fresh to the original generation. The evening was already dark, and the time had come for the mature expression of the audience.

Ms. Bohki, who had been looking down, took a pause to look up and gesture to the audience, and then it was time for the VJ. By interrupting her one action here, the audience could see that the visual expressions on the screen were created by Tutu. It may be one of RAISE A SUILEN's strengths that they can connect between songs with purely cool and pleasant sound and visual experiences.

The last spurt began with a "singalong" by the group.

After the video, the five members appeared on stage again. Mr. Kurachi was equipped with a shoulder keyboard to increase his mobility. There was a scene in which Mr. Kurachi and Mr. Obara were playing fast and furious, and it seemed as if a line was forming between their flamboyant performances. The audience was not allowed to sing along to the intro part of "Drive Us Crazy" with each of their performances. Raychell's overwhelming solo filled the vast venue, as if she was carrying the weight of the audience's feelings by herself, and the members' thick chorus overlapped with it. Raychell announced that there would be no encore, and the audience rushed into the main part of "DRIVE US CRAZY".

During the members' introduction part, Obara's superb playing was impressive as he placed his guitar directly on the stage and strummed it like a koto (Japanese harp).

NVADE SHOW!" Raychell said "Tutu tutu, hello! Raychell seemed to put all her feelings into singing the chorus as a vocalist.

The new song "Sacred world" is the opening theme for the TV anime "Assault Lily BOUQUET" which will start in October. The intertwining of the ever-changing aggressive vocals, Mr. Bouski's diverse rapping, and the flowing chorus seemed to skillfully express the loud and intense world of the work.

In the announcement corner, the jacket design of RAISE A SUILEN's 5th single "Sacred world," which will be released on October 21, was unveiled for the first time. The limited edition CD with Blu-ray will include a video clip of the stage performance "We are RAISE A SUILEN~BanG Dream!

The last block will be the song "REIGNING", which was written for the stage. The last block was from "REIGNING", a song written for the stage, and the connection from "REIGNING" to "EXPOSE 'Burn out!!!'" was performed by Bohki. When Raychell announced that the next song would be the last, the audience went into a frenzy of applause. The audience was filled with thunderous applause, even to the point of enthusiasm, when Raychell announced that the next song would be the last. and the band played "R-I-O-T." The audience was so excited that they even clapped their hands in thunderous applause.

There was almost no sign of rain or thunder until the end of the concert. Even the thunderclouds seemed to have given way to the overwhelming performance and the heat of the live show.
