PS4 "Apex Legends" online eSports tournament "PLAY ALIVE 2020 : Apex Legends" to be held on Saturday, October 17 & Saturday, October 31!

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced that PLAY ALIVE 2020 : Apex Legends, an online eSports tournament for the PS4 software "Apex Legends Apex Legends," will be held on Saturday, October 17 and Saturday, October 31, 2020, at the The event will be held on October 17 (Sat.) and October 31 (Sat.), 2020.

This tournament is part of the PlayStation 4 Tournaments, an official PlayStation online tournament, and is the first "Apex Legends" tournament hosted by SIE.

The tournament will be divided into an Open Stage and a Final Stage, in which 100 teams can participate. In the Final Stage, a total of eight teams will compete for a total of 1 million yen in prize money: the three teams that won the Open Stage and five teams made up of popular influencers.
The battle royale entertainment by the teams of the open stage winners and popular influencers is sure to be a highlight of the event.

In this competition, players will compete in multiple matches in casual mode trios within a time limit, and will receive points based on their rankings and kills.

■Open Stage: Round 1
An open tournament will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, starting at 11:00 a.m., with 100 teams eligible to participate.
Players in Japan must be at least 17 years old, level 150 or higher, and Gold IV rank or higher to participate.

Open Stage: Round 2
Open Stage: The top 8 teams from Round 1 will participate. The top three teams from this round will advance to the final stage.
The matches will be broadcast on each channel (YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, OPENREC) from 5:00 p.m.

■Final Stage
Open Stage: A total of eight teams will compete for a total prize pool of 1 million yen, including the three teams that won Round 2 and five teams made up of popular influencers.
The high-level game competition based on advanced strategy and precise manipulation can be enjoyed on each channel (YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, OPENREC).

The game will be streamed on each official channel on October 17 (Sat) & 31 (Sat), 2020, so don't miss it.
