BANDAI SPIRITS has released a 1/1-size, realistic reproduction of the "Nichirin Katana" used by Tanjiro Kamado, the main character in the popular TV anime "Demon Slayer" to hunt demons, complete with dialogue and sound effects. Tanjiro Kamado" will be released in February 2021, and pre-orders began today, October 1, 2020 (Thursday). The price is 7,000 yen (excluding tax).

The popular manga "Demon Slayer," which reached its conclusion this May in Weekly Shonen Jump (original story: Yoseharu Goge / Shueisha Jump), has sold more than 80 million copies and continues to be a hit, becoming a social phenomenon. The TV anime, which ran for 26 episodes over a two-cour period, boosted its popularity among a wide range of viewers, and "Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Train" is scheduled to be released on October 16, 2020.

This product is the first official 1/1 scale figure of Tanjiro Kamado's weapon, the "Sun Sword," from "PROPLICA," the BANDAI SPIRITS brand of poseable items for adults that focus on "authenticity. The first official 1/1 scale figure of the sword.

The figure is based on Tanjiro's words, "I won't let anyone hurt you. I will make sure that Priestess is human again. and "I could stand it because I am the first son, but I couldn't stand it if I were the second son. The figure also includes LiSA's "Kourenka - TV ver.", the theme song of the TV anime, for the first time in a NARIKIRI item, making it a product sculpted based on the concept of being a serious adult figure.

Sculpting and coloring
After verifying the anime images and setting drawings, the figure has been sculpted for the first time officially at approximately 880mm in length, which is approximately 1/1 the size of the figure that appears in the anime. In addition, the "jet-black" blade, which is finished with expert painting techniques, has been reproduced to give the figure an even more "realistic" feel, which is necessary when sculpted at approximately 1/1 scale.

This product can be switched into two modes, "Oni-kill mode" and "Ganbare Sumijiro mode," to enjoy the dialogue corresponding to each mode.
