Commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam! Fuji glasses and other premium goods on sale at three Tsutaya stores!

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam," a line of goods created to commemorate the series will be available exclusively at Tsutaya Daikanyama, Tsutaya Ginza, and Tsutaya Roppongi from October 3 (Saturday).

The Japanese robot animation series has been running since 1979. Starting with the first generation "Mobile Suit Gundam," numerous works have been created to date, with 2019 marking the series' 40th anniversary. This year, 2020, marks the 40th anniversary of the plastic model "Gunpla," which continues to attract a wide range of generations, from early fans to children.

The three premium goods commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam. They are original items created in collaboration with three brand-name companies that possess world-class Japanese traditional and proprietary technologies.

Fuji Glass Mobile Suit Gundam Model," which recreates a famous scene from the anime in a glass, the "SEVENSEVEN Stainless Steel Bottle" painted with the image of a mobile suit damaged on the battlefield, and the "Miniature Tool Set Principality of Zeon military model," all of which move like the real thing.

Fuji Glass Mobile Suit Gundam Model

Fuji glass is made by Tajima Glass, a glass manufacturer that continues to take on the challenge of developing new manufacturing methods while maintaining the traditional Edo glass craftsmanship.
The glasses are handmade one by one by craftsmen, and famous scenes from the anime are reproduced by laser processing, a patented Japanese technology. Pour a cup of tea and it will look like a red Fuji, pour a cup of whiskey and it will look like gold, and it will add color to the famous scene in your hand.

SEVEN SEVEN" is a metalware brand exploring "new forms of metal" in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture. The TSUTSU series of bottles are characterized by their excellent heat and cold retention capabilities due to their double-layer vacuum construction, and the lightness and durability of high-quality stainless steel, which makes them easy to carry. The paintwork, which is reminiscent of battle-scarred mobile suits, is handcrafted by artisans, and the texture of each bottle is different.
