The TV anime "Maou Shiro de Oyasumi" will start airing on TV Tokyo, BS Teletext, and AT-X from 26:00 on October 5, 2020 (Monday).

The popular sleep fantasy comedy by Keiji Kumanomata is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" (Shogakukan). The story is about "Princess Suyaris," who is kidnapped by the Demon King and imprisoned in a castle, sneaking out of her prison and exploring the castle in search of a better night's sleep.

The anime adaptation will be directed by Mitsue Yamazaki of "How Many Dumbbells Can You Hold? and Ai Kikuchi of "NEW GAME! and Ai Kikuchi of "NEW GAME! Inori Minase will play Princess Suyarisu, Tasogare will be played by Sadaojo Matsuoka, and Hiro Shimono will play the hero Akatsuki.

In the past, humans and demons coexisted together. Princess Suyaris, a human princess, is kidnapped by the demon king Tasogare, who is hostile to humans, and imprisoned in the demon king's castle. Sitting on her bed in her prison, the princess murmurs, "...except for sleeping. There is nothing to do but sleep. However, the quality of the bedding is so bad that she has never been able to get a good night's sleep. The princess, who loves to sleep, decides to get a comfortable bed and sets off alone to explore the Demon King's castle.
