Natsume's Book of Friends: Ishi Wakeki and the Mysterious Visitor" will be screened at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other theaters from January 16, 2021 (Sat.), and guest voice actress Hisako Kanemoto will appear as Mitsumi. In addition, the key visual, advance theater tickets with special offers, and screening theaters have been released.

Yuki Midorikawa's masterpiece "Natsume's Book of Friends" (serialized in Hakusensha's monthly LaLa) is a bestseller that has sold more than 14 million copies in total, depicting the sad and warm interaction between people and ghosts. The first TV anime season began airing in 2008, and has been produced up to the sixth season, making it an unparalleled long-running late-night anime series. It ranked first in terms of attendance, box-office revenue, and first-day satisfaction ranking, and became a blockbuster hit with box-office revenue of 900 million and attendance of over 600,000 people.

It has been two years since the release of the film version in 2018, which depicted the first full-length original episode of the series. Amidst the growing demand for a sequel, the long-awaited new animation and two short episodes will be screened exclusively to fans. The omnibus format, which makes the most of the original story's characteristic of complete episodes, depicts the simple and subtle subtleties of the hearts of both humans and demons, who are not supposed to intersect with each other. ＜Synopsis
Ishi Wake-up
Natsume meets a small yokai named Mitsumi in the forest. She says that she is in charge of "Ishi Wake-Up", which is to wake up a godlike yokai named Iwatetsu from his deep sleep. However, Nyanko-sensei and the other yokai begin plotting to usurp the role. Natsume, who is concerned about Mitsumi, decides to help.

The Mysterious Visitor
A mysterious visitor appears at Tanuma's place. He visits Tanuma every day, talks with him for a while, and then leaves. When Natsume learns that the visitor is a yokai, she is worried about Tanuma, but Tanuma has come to enjoy interacting with the yokai. It seems that the yokai does not intend to do anything bad, but little by little Tanuma's health begins to deteriorate - and he is not happy.
