Game Gear 30th Anniversary! Game Gear Mikro," a playable mascot, goes on sale today! Each color has a nostalgic classic game built in!

SEGA has released "Game Gear Mikro" today, October 6 (Tue.), exclusively on its EC site.

The "Game Gear Mikro" is a micro-sized device measuring approximately 80 mm (width) x 43 mm (height) x 20 mm (depth), less than 40% of the size of the original Game Gear. Each of the four color variations (black, blue, yellow, and red) contains four classic games of the time in various genres such as action, puzzle, and RPG, which can be played on a 1-inch monitor with various buttons.

The Game Gear Mikro is also equipped with an interrupt save function, so you may be able to see the ending of that game you couldn't clear at the time! In addition to running on two AAA batteries, the game can also be played for long periods of time using a USB cable (AAA batteries and USB cable sold separately).

The staff of the "Mega Drive Mini," the mini-game console that kicked off the 2025 era, has reunited for the production of this project. The software portion of the project continues to be handled by M2 Inc. The level of reproduction and perfection of the game titles is so meticulous that it is hard to believe that they are microscopic in size, and that they are big and fun.
