GINTAMA THE FINAL" Film: Direct comments from Tomokazu Sugita and others on the postrecording! The "last" postrecording session is finally over!

Cast comments and photos from "GINTAMA THE FINAL," an anime film scheduled to be released on January 8, 2021 (Friday), have just arrived.

Gintama" (original story by Hideaki Sorachi), a very popular comic series in "Weekly Shonen Jump" that has sold more than 55 million copies in total, has announced that the popular anime series "Gintama" that has continued for 15 years will "really"(!?) come to an end this time. Gintama the Final" will be released in movie theaters nationwide on January 8 (Fri.) next year.

Gintama" has been the subject of much controversy due to the repeated "end-all, end-all scams", but the postrecording for "Gintama the Final", the latest and final movie, was successfully completed the other day. We interviewed the members of the "Bankotsuya" cast, including Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi), Rie Kugimiya (Kagura), and Mikako Takahashi (Sadaharu), and asked them about their thoughts after the last recording session.

Ms. Sugita, while standing proudly as the leading cast member, asked, "Stupidity is good, so what is necessary to be a good stupidity? A generous and tolerant spirit. Mr. Sakaguchi said, "After recording, I was convinced it was the last one! Sakaguchi expressed his confidence in the movie, referring to the "real end. Kugimiya-san reflected on the atmosphere during postrecording and expressed his enthusiasm for the real "last" part of the movie. Takahashi-san looks back on the 15 years of the "Gintama" anime and comments on the "end" that even the cast themselves still can't believe.

The cast members of the Shin-Sen-Gumi, including Shinji Chiba as Isao Kondo, Kazuya Nakai as Jushiro Hijikata, and Kenichi Suzumura as Sogo Okita, were also present at the event! A photo of them smiling with the cast members of Manjiduya, each holding a script, was released immediately after the post-recording session.

In addition, on October 10 (Sat.), in commemoration of Gin-san's birthday, new information about "GINTAMA THE FINAL" movie is scheduled to be announced. There will be one, two, or maybe even more information about the movie. So, please look forward to it.

It means that I am not the one who forgets himself and enjoys, but I am the one who continues to support the balance at the base.

This is the last time! This is the last time! I was convinced after the recording that this is the last time!
The recording studio was not a place of excitement because of the times we live in, but I am sure of the content of the movie! But the content is sure to be good! Please enjoy it!

Rie Kugimiya (Kagura)
To be honest, I was more than happy to be able to record with all three of us at Manjo-ya in this day and age.
It had been a long time since we had recorded as Gintama, and I felt a warm atmosphere, though it may have been my imagination.
I'm sure many of you know the story, but let's have fun together at the last Gintama festival!

◆Mikako Takahashi (Sadaharu)
It seems like it's been a long time, but it's been 15 years.
I never thought I would be able to play the role of a dog, Sadaharu, for such a long time... I was so happy to be able to do it! (I wish I could have met Odori again, too...)
I put my heart and soul into the last squeak of the movie, so don't miss it until the very end!
Hooray for "The Last Bakanban"!
...Is it really the last? (Laughs)

The "last" "Gintama" will be filled with laughter and tears on a cosmic scale, including not only the familiar gags, but also powerful action scenes and moving drama parts. For 15 years, "Gintama" has been breaking the rules, breaking the limits, overturning the common sense of the anime world, doing whatever it wanted to do, running as fast as it could, and breaking the common sense.
