Original idea and script by Shinji Nojima Comments
Since "compliance" has encroached on drama for some time now, writers like myself have been searching for a place where we can have more freedom, feeling as if our wings have been ripped off.
This time, I was given the opportunity to depict the world of anime, and for the first time in a really long time, I had a lot of fun.
Anime and games are entertainment that Japan can boast to the world, and I am happy to be able to face highly literate anime fans.
See you in January.

<Profile of Shinji Nojima
Screenwriter. Studied under screenwriter Kazuhiko Ban, and won the 2nd Fuji Television Young Scenario Award for "Sometimes Like a Motherless Child. He made his major debut.
After making his debut as a scriptwriter for Fuji Television's "Kimi ga Uso ni Tsuite" (You told a Lie), he worked on a number of trendy dramas with producer Ryo Ohta.
His representative works include "101 Times Proposal," "High School Teacher," "Under One Roof," "The Flower Shop Without Roses," and "Ienakako," for which he was in charge of planning.

Director Makoto Wakabayashi comments
Sometimes the characters look like me.
In the process of trying to understand a character, I start thinking about what it would be like if it were me, and as a result, I end up correcting the character to make it easier to move.
So this time, I stopped thinking "If it were me".
What if it were her? What if it were that person?
We cannot understand another person and move him or her, so we just watch over the person we don't understand.
I don't even know how they would act, so I think every day that it would be easier if I could interact with the characters.
But fortunately, I am surrounded by people who are similar to the characters and who are working with me to create this work.
I cannot understand everything about them, but I can feel their atmosphere.
If I can make this work breathe with that atmosphere, I feel that I will be able to go beyond the scale of "what if it were me".
I will do my best until the end to convey the charm of the script entrusted to me by Mr. Nojima.

Comment from Hiroyuki Ueno, Planning and Producer (NTV)
During a planning meeting with ANIPLEX, we discussed the need to bring in talent from outside the animation industry, and I asked them, "What do you think about Shinji Nojima writing an animation script? I asked.
And one of my themes as a producer was how Mr. Nojima, who has a high level of creativity and creative ability, could shine in the field of animation while he has been very constrained in the recent drama productions.
This is a joint project between ANIPLEX and NTV, and the up-and-coming director Wakabayashi and the staff of CloverWorks have put their whole heart and soul into it, so please look forward to it.
