BANDAI SPIRITS is pleased to announce the arrival of the "PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam," the culmination of the 40th anniversary of Gundam Model Kits and the ultimate Gundam model that will lead to the future.

This product is the culmination of the "Gunpla Evolution Project," which began in 2017 with the aim of evolving various Gunpla technologies and creating new products for the 40th anniversary. Up until now, the company has challenged the evolution of each technology of movement, transformation, luminescence, detail, and assembly process through various brands such as HG High Grade, RG Real Grade, and PG Perfect Grade. The new brand name "PERFCT GRADE UNLEASHED" was chosen as the culmination of these efforts and as the ultimate product that will be the touchstone for the future of Gundam plastic models.

UNLEASHED" means freedom from constraints. Since its release in July 1980, the Gunpla "RX-78-2 Gundam" has been commercialized in many forms, unknowingly creating an accumulation of definitions and restrictions on commercialization. However, if these definitions and restrictions have in some ways limited the possibilities of the future, we hope to open up new possibilities for the future of Gundam plastic models by unleashing these restrictions.

This product has a step-by-step assembly process. This is a new style of assembly in which the parts are assembled block by block, and the blocks are attached to the internal frame. Building this product provides a simulated experience of manufacturing a real MS.

PHASE01: Evolution of Ease of Assembly
The first thing to experience is the evolution of the ease of assembly of the "internal frame construction. The focus is on the "large insert frame that realizes the most interlocking and fastest assembly.
The largest insert frame in Gunpla history, 180 mm long for the legs alone, enables the fastest assembly of the entire body frame, which serves as the bone of the figure, in the history of PG. The process of building the entire body frame, rather than assembling the legs, arms, and other parts of the body, allows the user to feel the sensation of building a real mobile suit and a sense of accomplishment at each phase of the process.

The "truss frame construction" allows the viewer to experience the "evolution of structure. The internal parts, which were derived from a thorough study of the setting, are layered to create a massive, multi-layered structure that can be described as a "fascinating, multi-layered structure.
The density of the internal structure is the result of meticulous calculations, and the truss frame, with its metallic molding color and plating process, as well as the detailing of the internal frame, is the ultimate in density. The vernier is made of metal parts and the vulcan on the head is made of aluminum parts, giving it a texture that has never been seen before in a Gunpla. The manipulator parts are chrome-plated inside, and even the knots in the fingers are reproduced.

PHASE05: Evolution of the production
In the "operation and maintenance reproduction" after completion, you can feel the evolution of the "production woven by the latest technology". The new RGB two-light LED unit that produces the operation scene enables four patterns of light emission, and the internal design maximizes light-conducting efficiency, enabling both movement and light emission.
