Ayanami Rei's First Lipstick" KATE and Evangelion collaborated on "Kate Red Nude Rouge (EV)"!

Kanebo Cosmetics will launch KATE Red Nude Rouge (EV), a collaboration product between KATE and "Evangelion", on February 2, 2021 (Tuesday) in limited quantities, and will begin accepting reservations via the Web on November 4, 2020 (Wednesday).

KATE has been advocating innovative makeup that is not bound by stereotypes with the slogan "NO MORE RULES. This philosophy is synchronized with the figure of "Ayanami Rei" in "Evangelion," and the collaboration was realized as "Red Noodle Rouge," an entity that expresses one's own thoughts and feelings.

The limited-quantity release is Kate Red Nude Rouge, a two-color cream rouge set that can be layered with beige over a vivid red base to create "the red you want". The collaboration depicts a never-before-seen Ayanami Rei wearing Red Nude Rouge. The rouge is designed to show a special appearance only for this occasion.

Product features: balm-derived formula
To make lips look beautiful while caring for them, KATE has arrived at a lip balm-derived cream rouge that delivers high moisture and vivid color.
The new formula was developed by applying Kanebo Cosmetics' conventional lip balm formula.
The conventional formulation had achieved a melting sensation, moisture, and transparency, but it was extremely difficult to achieve high color rendering.
The new "balm-derived formula" is a highly transparent paste that combines a greater number of colorants and color uniformity to reproduce the red color of the lips, seeking a highly pure color. The result is both a beautiful, vivid finish and a high level of moisturizing power.
