The opening theme of MAPPA's original anime "Gymnastics Zamurai," which has been airing since October 10 (Sat.), is "Shanghai Honey" by ORANGE RANGE, covered by Daisuke Namikawa, Kensho Ono and Hiroki Kaji. The OP movie and comments from the cast who sang the song are now available.

The song "Gymnastics Zamurai" is the same as "Yuri! on ICE" and "Zombieland Saga" by MAPPA. The production staff includes director Hisatoshi Shimizu, series composition by Shigeru Murakoshi, and character design by Kasumi Fukagawa.

When I received the offer, I was surprised, and if anything, I am still surprised. (laugh) This song reminds me of my school days and is full of images of my youth.
I am honored to be able to sing it. However, this time it is a character song. To be honest, I didn't have an image of Tetsuo Minamino singing or rapping, so I had to go through a lot of trial and error in the recording process.
