A new trailer has been released to showcase Fireteam play.

Fireteam, the first new mode added to "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War," features 40 players in 10 four-person squads clashing on a massive map with land, sea, and air vehicles and a variety of objectives. Players will complete tasks scattered throughout the map while eliminating enemy teams, and the team that reaches a specific score the fastest will win the game.

Fireteam" will offer a highly flexible map that will allow players to create their own unique strategies with their teammates. The "Fireteam Spawn" system, also available for "Fireteam," allows players to choose how they respawn. For example, players can respawn near a teammate who is not in combat, parachute back into combat, or help a teammate by respawning in the passenger seat of a vehicle piloted by a teammate.

In this open beta, players can play "Fireteam:Dirty Bomb". In this mode, players collect uranium scattered throughout the map and put it into "dirty bombs" to detonate them for a score. The longer the uranium is carried, the more various damage it inflicts on the player, and the "Dirty Bomb" spreads a contaminated area on the map with each explosion. The game is a game of "Dirty Bomb," in which players must assess the rapidly changing war situation as the game progresses, and use flexible strategies to fight their way to victory.
