It has been announced that "The Moon Leads the Way in Another World," currently being published by Alphapolis, with a total of over 1.4 million copies sold, will be adapted into a TV anime in 2021. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, MBS, BS Nittele, and other TV stations.

In this work, Makoto Fukazumi is summoned to another world as a "hero" for some reason, but the goddess of that world curses him for having an "ugly face" and immediately revokes his title as a "hero", He encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and various other non-human races. Due to the differences in the environment from his original world, Shin displays unorthodox powers in magic and combat, but how will he survive in this world?

In conjunction with the decision to make a TV anime, a teaser visual depicting Shin, Tomoe, and Mio standing side by side in the wilderness under the moonlight, and a special video showing the activities of each character and a glimpse of their adventures were also released.

The visual and cast information of the main characters were also announced. Natsuki Hanae will play the role of Makoto Fukazumi, Ayane Sakura will play the role of Tomoe, and Akari Kito will play the role of Mio. The voices of each of them were shown for the first time in a special video. In addition, comments from the three have also been received.
