Heavily armed armored trooper that runs on rough roads! I made "1/35 Burglary Dog [PS Version]"! The 22nd Weekend Plastic Modeling by Tai Yuuki!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Weekend Plastic Model! Let's get started with the 22nd issue!

Vol. 22 Burglary Dog [PS Version]

This time we introduce the 1/35 scale kit of the Burglar Dog [PS version] that fought a fierce battle with Titania in the OVA "Armored Trooper Votoms: The Brilliant Heresy" in 1994, released by WAVE.

If you do not have one, the "GSICreos GT50 Pin Vice 5-pieceSet" will do for now.

The package illustration depicts the distinctive equipment.

On the side of the package is an explanation of the aircraft and gimmicks.

The package may look small, but there are plenty of runners.

In addition to the assembly instructions, a setting drawing of the "Burglary Dog Snow Fighting Specifications" is included.

In the beginning of the assembly, you will see these instructions in the middle of assembling the fuselage. You will need a pin vise here.

But don't worry. There are guides for where to make holes, so if you work carefully, you won't make any mistakes.

As you can see, the chirico and the seat in the cockpit are also well reproduced, even though they are almost invisible once assembled.

Assembly was completed in less than 3 hours! Since it is a snap-fit kit, I was able to assemble it in a fast-paced manner.

Based on the Scope Dog, the AT (Armored Trooper) is completed with various additional equipment.

It has unique equipment on its back mission pack and legs.

The inside of the cockpit is also well reproduced by opening the hatch.

The turret lens can be moved left and right on the rails. The head can be turned around and the visor can be raised, and it is surprising that so much detail has been reproduced for a 1/35 scale model.

The waist can be rotated with an axial connection.

Shoulders can be rotated at the connection. It can be raised about 60° horizontally.

The shoulders can also swing back and forth slightly due to the ball joint connection.

There is a roll section on the second arm.

The wrists can rotate because of the shaft connection.

The elbows are movable about 90°.

The hip joints are a combination of axial connections, so the legs can be raised to this point where the side skirts hit the ground.

The upper thighs have a rolled rotating part.

The knees are double-jointed, but due to the equipment (trundle riggers), they can only be bent up to this point. If the rear rollers are deployed, the knees can be bent about 90 degrees.

The front and rear can be moved only this far due to the interference of the armor, but you can still move the knees in this direction at .......

If you use the vertical movement of the hip joint position, which is the transformation mechanism for the landing pose, you can raise the figure by 90 degrees. ......

It can be raised 90 degrees in the forward direction.

Even though the ankles are equipped with plate-like parts, they can be tilted in this way.

Now let's look at the transformation to the descent pose. First, move the hip joint position downward from the previous one.

Extend the tibia part upward and expand the ski plate part forward.

The joints inside the shin are tilted forward and the body is lowered to complete the landing pose.

It is surprising that this gimmick, which is unique to the AT, can be fully reproduced in a plastic kit of this size.

View from the side. The very convincing pilot boarding scene is one of the AT's realistic features.

Next, let's take a look at the armament.

On the shoulder is a missile pod.

The missile pod is connected to the axis and is movable up to this point.

Three missiles on the right side.

Gatling gun on the left side.

The base of the wrist can be assembled at one of three different angles.

Deployment of the droppers folding gun. This feeding belt is made of soft resin and can be rotated to the firing position as it is. There are also

A plastic ammunition belt of different shapes is included. It can be fixed at any angle.

Two types of barrels are included, a short one and a long one. The manual says "as you like".

Now, please see some posing photos!

Arm Punch! (The punch extension/retraction gimmick is omitted this time)

Heavy machine gun while roller dashing "Zgagaa!

(By adjusting the angle of the base of the wrist, you can recreate a two-handed operation.

Droppers folding gun deployed.

Trample rigger deployed. This equipment can be used to run even in unplowed areas.

Cueeeeeen! Zgagagaa! Dosh-dosh-dosh!

And this time, I would like to apply weathering using foundation from a 100 yen store!

I stained the whole thing so it looks much different, doesn't it?

Look at the missile pod! Rub the foundation with a brush so that the foundation remains firmly on the edges.

The trumbull rigger is also strongly stained.

The heavy machine gun is also shown.

The color is nice and austere as it is in the molded color, but by staining it, it became even more austere!

Droppers folding gun also has more military look.

The rear view is also more austere.

The parts at the base of the legs, which can be glimpsed inside the armor, are also arranged in a very mechanical way.

The foundation can be removed by rubbing with your fingers, but if you want it to stay in place, you can airbrush or spray paint a matte clear over the top.

It feels about this size in your hand. In addition to the "Scopedog" type, there are other types such as "Diving Beetle," "Berzelga," "Bloodsucker," and "Rabid Dog," which are all in the lineup, so we encourage everyone to give them a try.
