It was announced that "Violet Evergarden the Movie" will be released in "Dolby Cinema," which allows viewers to experience a deep sense of immersion in the work in theaters.

Violet Evergarden" is an anime work based on the novel by Kana Akemi (KAESMA Bunko/Kyoto Animation), which won the first grand prize at the "5th Kyoto Animation Grand Prize" hosted by Kyoto Animation.
The director is Taichi Ishidate, who directed "Beyond the Boundary -I'LL BE HERE-", the series composition is by Reiko Yoshida, who wrote the screenplay for the movie "聲の形", etc., and the character design is by Akiko Takase, who was in charge of the illustrations in this work's library. It was announced that the Dolby Cinema version of "Violet Evergarden the Movie" will be released on November 13 (Fri.), with a new format of images and sound for "Dolby Cinema," which allows viewers to experience a deep sense of immersion in the work in theaters.
The Dolby Cinema version of "Violet Evergarden the Movie" has been re-graded to HDR specifications for the Dolby Vision projection system, and the up-conversion technology "FORS EX PICTURE*" has been adopted to achieve a clear and sharp finish. The film has been produced in Japan. This is the first Dolby Cinema release of a new Japanese theatrical animation.

It was also announced that "commemorative replica tickets for Dolby Cinema viewing" will be distributed as an admission present exclusively to Dolby Cinema screening theaters.

Furthermore, in appreciation of the blockbuster hit, an additional admission gift, a newly-drawn "Postcard from Echarte Island," depicting Violet and Gilbert, will be distributed from November 13 (Fri.), the same day as the screening.
