An esports league for the popular MOBA "PUBG MOBILE" will be held from February 2021!
PUBG MOBILE, the MOBILE version of the battle royale game "PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS" (PUBG), will host the esports league "PUBG MOBILE JAPAN LEAGUE SEASON 1", an esports league sponsored by NTT DOCOMO, will be held in the MOBILE version of "PUBG MOBILE".
PUBG MOBILE" is a battle royale game in which a maximum of 100 players survive until they are the "last man standing" by making full use of equipment and other items on the map. Players compete for survival in progressively smaller safe zones, making full use of randomly placed weapons, vehicles, and equipment items.
The player who survives to the last man will see a message on his/her screen that reads "I won! I won! Dinner is on the table! message appears on the screen of the last survivor, and players fight for "Don Katsuchi". The service was launched in Japan on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, and has been downloaded more than 600 million times worldwide (*calculated from App Annie data).
From August 29 to October 18 this year, "PUBG MOBILE JAPAN LEAGUE SEASON 0" was held. A record number of 417 teams and 2,021 players participated in the "PUBG MOBILE" domestic tournament, aiming for the title of the strongest team in Japan and the right to participate in the "PUBG MOBILE GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP" world championship.

It has now been decided that "PUBG MOBILE JAPAN LEAGUE SEASON 1," an esports league for "PUBG MOBILE," will begin operations in February 2021 under the sponsorship of NTT DOCOMO. In this league, players who have signed professional contracts will be invited to participate, and matches will be held throughout the year. Team owners and sponsors will also be sought for this esports league and tournament.

<Conditions for participating in the World Championships
First half World Championships: Winning team of Phase 1 will participate
Second half of the year: The overall winner of the season will participate in the World Championships.

Other: In addition to the prize money, all professional players are guaranteed at least 3.5 million yen per year.
